yes you killed the lich queen and she has LOST an eye. But since she´s immortal and already happily back on her way to keep my 5 provinces together, I don´t mind so much ;).
tien´chis cyclops is lacking the invulnerability trait however, so it will probably take a while until I see him again :D .

Btw I had a grand income of 24 last round/25 upkeep. There is great riches to find in my lands.

Backov Cradle(Ulm):
Sob. I could have given Ermor a much better fight, but stupid as I sadly am I forgot to issue the “move and patrol” order to the meatshield coming to my mages’ aid. Now they’re sitting in my sieged castle and did no good at all. 38 good men with black steel plates 2 inches thick on their chests.

Nick, how about a return match? Retreat and give me a mere 10 turns! :)

Not that I believe there is any way I could counter your soul vortexed wraith lord.

The wraith lord is just a sideshow in that army. He’s there to be a sturdy undead leader. I don’t want him mixing it up in melee since he’s out of my dominion.

The real main attraction was the hordes of ghosts and behemoths and undead archers. I really didn’t think you’d be able to do that much damage that fast to those behemoths. Great use of magma eruption x 25 (or however many casters you have). Of course the great thing about behemoths is that even if you kill 98% of them before they hit your backline mages, the 4 that get through are still going to cause a lot of carnage

(Vanheim): Whoops.
Hey, at least Ermor is down. C’tis is probably surprised he’s still alive

WorldWar (C’tis): I got Jebus Herbert CHRIST blitzed out of China. By Caelum. And I can’t strike back because I’m an empire divided. Rrgh.

Ben-Noob (Pangaea) - This one’s quickly coming to a head! Them fuzzy winged fellas are raidin’ me and I’m raidin’ them. Them skinny pointy-eared fellas in green tights is fightin’ to my right. Them stout little fellas in all that shiny black armor is fightin’ to my left. So much fightin’! Can’t we all just get along?! :?

Worldwar (Pangaea) - Hey All-father, where you going? Was it something I said?! Maybe he doesn’t like Rocky Mountain Oysters… shrug

Rainbow (Machaka) - It’s Dawn of the Dead vs… EVERYBODY!

AranWars (Machaka) - Total bedlam! Pythium’s kickin ass. No wait! Abysia’s kickin ass. No wait! Man’s kickin ass. No wait! …

NewbEuropa (Man) - I’m in the absolute worse spot possible: Africa. With a big-large-huge body of water covering 90% of my north (filled with big-large-huge indie armies–it was set to ‘9’ I believe) and two teeny strips of land on my extreme left and right end. Naturally, these are blocked by other nations. Yay.

AranWars - O dear, I poked a giant and now he’s killing me with Hydras to which my giants die like flies. Confused, I lose.

LavaLamp - I continue puttering along. I feel like a Trabant stuck in the fast lane.

Qt3-JM-Hardcore (Vanheim) -

All right, boys and girls. Everyone be quiet and listen now, because it’s time for today’s lesson: CRIME DOESN’T PAY.

Now, we all know that the Allfather was murdered recently. That’s a CRIME, boys and girls. Killing God is a CRIME. Now, who did it? That’s right, the Wind Lord. Sit down, Bobby. The Wind Lord was a Very Bad Man, boys and girls. Only a Very Bad Man would want to kill God. Yes, Bobby? No, Bobby. Sit down, Bobby. Now, boys and girls, I’m sure we all agree with Bobby that we’d like to punish the Wind Lord for his crime. Crimes are BAD, and the people who do them should be punished. Yes, even worse than missing recess. But punishment is up to the Allfather, and the Allfather extended the hand of forgiveness, because the Allfather is wise and just, and gave the Wind Lord a chance to make up for his CRIME. So the Allfather asked the Wind Lord to do something, to prove he was truly sorry. Now, boys and girls, does anybody know what he asked? Anyone? Bobby, stop pulling Susie’s hair. Well, I’ll tell you: he asked the Wind Lord to go chase away some lizardmen and mammoths that were breaking things in Kisirik. Does anyone know what a mammoth is? Yes, Bobby, I’m sure you do. Anyone else? Yes, David? Very good! A mammoth is just like a hairy elephant. So the Wind Lord went to make them go away. Now, boys and girls, does anyone know what happened? No? Well, I’ll tell you: the Wind Lord’s soldiers didn’t win, and the Wind Lord was killed by a mammoth. You see, boys and girls? The Wind Lord killed God, and the Wind Lord was then killed. That’s JUSTICE. If someone does something terrible, something terrible will happen to them. That always happens, and that’s why CRIME DOESN’T PAY. But that wouldh’t ever happen to any of you, boys and girls, because you’re all such good children, and loyal to the Allfather. Yes, even Bobby. I’m sure Bobby’s loyal to the Allfather. Aren’t you, Bobby? Only people who aren’t loyal to the Allfather do terrible things. Boys and girls, do you know who isn’t loyal to the Allfather? That’s right. Everyone outside of our country. And that’s why they will all be punished.

(this is what happens when I’m awake at 3am)

Boy, that was… long.

Windlord = Penguin Lover

I hope I get to see the turn tonight before it rolls over. Am I going to miss it? I’d like to request a hold until 8pm tonight if I have to, as I would like to share the windlords final minutes with my mammoths.

I really did get hammered by a couple of stale turns in this game :/ Didn’t help that my attempted land grab just now was rebuffed thanks to some unforseen province defence (lying scouts!)

qt3rainbow(ermor): funny, aeroscophaele and tien chi continue to throw their armys at my forts, getting afflictions and whatnot without being able to break down the walls fast. Since I wouldn´t get income anyway and gemsites are working for me as long as I hold the fortress they can stay at the party, although it´s bad for their health :P .

Ulm on the other hand is content with the provinces he has already taken and is establishing a beachhead with negative dominion, so I can´t just throw my evergrowing immortal wraith squad team at them.

qt3aranwars: c´tis has now both the mother oak and the gift of health out. yuck, I will have to go all the way to fairy court now for affliction healing.

And on the topic of stale turns, take your turn in QT3Hammer already!

Qt3-JM-Hardcore (Vanheim) - I really have to hand it to Rob. I’m being schooled. I did NOT expect that dome. That’s several turns’ worth of saved-up gem production shot to hell.

Q23Tyrande (Man) - Thanks to some hard work, Ermor is pretty much done. Between Vanheim and Man, there’s pretty much nothing left. Of course those lands aren’t worth anything, but at least the rampaging undead horde is done.

Q23AranWars (C’tis) - Looks like Pythium is laying the wood to the Jotuns. Abysia mixing it up with a couple people as well. Whoever Pythium is, please shoot me a note as I wish to avoid any misunderstandings.

Q23Cradle (C’tis) - War, but it’s a strange war. Looks like this game is about to break out into a major conflict (if it hasn’t already)

Q23FeedingFrenzy (Machaka) - I see Vanheim to the west, that’ll be interesting.

Q23Europe (Man) - Retrenching for everyone and I sense that Pythium’s last stand is coming soon.

QT3-Backov-Cradle (AE Ermor)

I think I’ve finally broken AI Pythium and will be securing my eastern border. My border with Ulm disappeared and turn into my border with Pangaea. I’m thin on scouts up there, but I’m guessing Pangaea took advantage of the Ulm-Ermor conflicts to storm in and blitz Ulm.

Also, which of you jokers summoned all the earth kings? I just pissed 50 earth gems (almost my whole reserve) down my leg trying to summon him!

QT3-Tiny (Abysia)

Yawn. I’d go A/I but I don’t want to be a poor sport. I’ve decided very small games are lame, I prefer bigger maps and more diplo.

QT3-LavaLamp (Caelum)

Looks like Backov went A/I after I slaughtered his main army and his god. Now I just have to annex AI Marignon

QT3-Hammer (Acro)

This is a slow one, but that’s a relaxed game for ya.

QT3-NoobAran (Atlantis)

Oops, you all left me alone too long and let me get too much research done. Soon it will be payback time

Oops, sorry Nick. I shall be more prompt from now on.

JM Hardcore (Caelem) - The war against Vanheim consists of SC skirmishes every turn and lots of magic assassins being tossed about. There are 4 major powers left (Abysia, Man, Van, Caelem) and the lurker beneath the frozen waves (Atlantis). I like Man’s position the best because without Nick’s C’tis to grind him down I think he must be building a horde to end all hordes.

JM World at War (Mictlan) - the Marignonians must be rooted out of our lands and destroyed. I had a succubus with a soul contract battle a bane lord decked out with 4 items and she walked away with his wraith blade. Don’t mess with that hellish bitch.

QT3 Relaxed (T’ien Ch’i) - I’m very happy with my invasion of Abysia, and only have a couple of AI provinces to mop up. The Chi pose an interesting problem because while I have many mages, I have very few that can actually cast anything useful. I love the Mongol Hordes style cavalry of the Ch’i. Against the well armored abysians we have rained arrows upon the slow moving slaads. Against softer targets, we’ll be more likely to charge. I think I’ve done a nice job with the Ch’i, which makes up for…

QT3 Tyrande (Pythium) - the carrion dragon is about to eat my emperor. I don’t think I could have played pythium any worse.

Qt3 Tyrande (Pangaea) - Muahahahahaha! Feel undead viney dragony fury, snake-people! Honestly, I was going to expand in another direction until my troops starting routinely getting hit by Wrath of God; then I made it my goal to end those lightning strikes in the easiest way possible - exterminating the casters and their empire.

Well, you were doing such a GOOD job of finishing him off … He has a few provinces beyond but I just see militia right now.

Also, which of you jokers summoned all the earth kings? I just pissed 50 earth gems (almost my whole reserve) down my leg trying to summon him!

That would be Arco. There is a nonstop stream of Earth Elementals, Earth Gnomes, Heart Companions, and Priestesses streaming up the island chain into the forests. Even for a relentless tireless undead plant horde, this is getting to be a bit much to handle.

Well, to be totally fair, that and Man also went completely dead and stale, which totally removed the value to be gained by leaving you alone for a bit.

People going stale really badly throws off the balance of this game (which shouldn’t be surprising).
