Qt3-Backov-Cradle (Pangaea) - I’m starting to think I might lose this pretty soon. Arco has got a masterfully configured anti-undead force just steamrolling right through anything I throw at them, and right now I don’t have any good countermeasures. The Harpy Queen can toss off a Wrathful Skies now and then, but sooner or later she’s going to buy it. Meanwhile Marignon is waltzing around with a devil/banelord force that way outclasses anything I can throw at them; hopefully Ermor can keep them distracted. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve, but if they turn out not to be enough, well, it was a good run while it lasted.
Qt3-FeedingFrenzy (Vanheim) - storm-tossed rocks, peaceful (and lazy) gnome farmlands, and now disease-infested jungles (thanks, RNG, I always wanted my very own Inkpot End), with the occasional high mountain crag lifting above the mists. Some sort of rumor of big bugs to the east.
Qt3-AranWars (Ulm) - Grabbing some ocean provinces before C’tis puts together its own longdeads and gets them first. My border patrols keep picking up foreign scouts every single turn.
Qt3-JM-Hardcore (Vanheim) - Woo boy. The enemy plan becomes clear. Turn after next there is going to be three simultaneous massive assaults on three different fortresses I hold. First, the Abysian capital (garrisonned by Nycafor the Ice Devil, a few soulless, and a few imps), under attack by a Heliophagus and about a hundred miscellaneous Abysian troops. Next, the amazon fortress in Achaku Desert, under attack by what looks like every damn storm guard in the entire world, plus assorted wights, wraithlords, draconians, and maybe some other stuff that’s gotten lost in the crowd - oh yeah, Caleum’s manticore pretender is venturing forth on this attack too. Inside is the Father Illearth, some Vanherses, a few frost fiends and storm demons, and about 10-20 mixed infantry. Finally, in the south my attempts to repulse Caelum’s teleported army have gotten decisively splattered across the sheen of a dome protecting the province, and having built a castle the lizardman and mammoth army has laid seige to a neighboring hill fortress, garrisonned by some feebleminded sages and wounded barbarians.
Either I come up with some really good stuff, and a bit of luck besides, or I’ve started losing this game. We’ll find out which in two turns.
