The nation of Agartha regrets being caught in the act of trying to sneak through R’lyehian territory. It would appear that, despite their claim to be ‘stealthy’, 20 umbrals cannot sneak past so much as a sleeping, deaf sea anemone.

It looks like the grand anti-Mictlan alliance was too late to save Pangaea. Sorry, mate, our bad. The AI Mictlan forces have taken Pan’s capital, even as the brave Agarthans plant tomatos on the terraces of the former Mictlan capital’s temple.

Meanwhile, the game appears to be in a ‘grab what you can’ phase, as a great many coastal provinces in former Mictlan/Pangaea are suddenly filled with dripping wet R’lyeh troops. Given that Agarthan necromancers nuked much of Mictlan’s home island back to the Cambrian, we’re not in too much of a hurry to join the land-grab.

I was checking dominion forum today and I saw the bug thread regarding that nasty “right clicking crash bug” that has put our game on hold, where Jonothan and other people with the same bug have posted. Not much news there, but the last post was from Edi (he seems to be a guy from Illwinter) in which he said that he needs more info about this bug before they could tackle it. It was about 10 days ago.

Just giving you a heads up in case you’ve missed it Jonathan. And good luck!

Q: Have you heard the one about the two wells?

A: No.

Q: Well, well.

Edi isn’t from illwinter, he has been kind enough to compile digestible lists of bugs though.

Also, is it me you are calling Jonathan? Jonathan is swedish for ‘cocksucker’ though I guess you wouldn’t know that.

No Johan, I meant Jonathan Crane. He is a player in our Bommerlunder game who has encountered that nasty crush bug several weeks ago, which put our game on hold. He has been trying to get in touch with Illwinter regarding that bug.

Here are the links to the bug descriptions for your convenience:

Any thoughts/suggestions Johan?

As for the “cocksucker” in swedish - it’s good to know. =) Unless you are pulling my leg of course. >;)

No I was just being an ass, my apologies to Jonathan Crane.

Thought so. :)

Heh. You haven’t tried to dig another well at the same turn as Hasslbauer dug his, have you?

Poor Mother Earth is going to bleed.

Anyway, here goes the last global slot.

BTW it seems as if everyone put a lot of extra gems into their globals, since none of the globals have been dispelled yet, despite that all global owning nations have been locked into bloody war for many turns. I myself performed a strong attempt to dispell Giants GOH early in the war using my best astral mage. Big waste of gems.

Hoplite-

Can Kailasa and Lanka hold off on this 680-unit throwdown until I can get a scout in there? That looks like it’ll be fun.

I was two turns away from being ready to cast that same global. But this makes it more interesting.

BTW, Lictor appears to be down, I can’t connect to upload my turn - hangs at “waiting for game info”.

LOL. I’ve been considering it as well. But at the end I’ve decided that 3 gem producing globals (even if the first two are only +5 and +10 gems) might be a bit too much. Some players might consider it greedy and react to it one way or another. :) And I can’t really afford it, my position is complicated enough as it is.

As for Lictor - yes, I am not able to connect to it as well.

I bet that Nick’s talanted ninja child has gained a new level in his craft recently. These days once he knocks server down, he makes damned sure it stays down. =)

Heh, I wouldn’t put it past him, but this time the server appears to be running and the dom3 process says it is running too. So I’m not sure what the deal is. I’ll give it a good kicking tonite.

So, Hoplite.

Does anyone know what Astral Corruption really does? Anybody want to find out?

More to the point, does anybody want to find out what effect it’ll have on diplomacy, or place bets on how many powers on the other side of the world will donate gold and gems to gank the Astral Corruptor?

My understanding of it in Dom2 was that, while it was active, once per turn a Doom Horror would attack some mage somewhere who was doing something with non-blood magic.

If it still works that way … eh. One random doom horror out of all the thousands of mages in play in the late game just isn’t worth it.

With such a cool sounding description that’s all it does? Man, that’s like the biggest, lamest letdown ever!

Lictor game is back up. Not sure why it was misbehaving, I couldn’t get it to start even copying the savedgame files locally to my windows machine. In the end I just deleted everyone’s orders for the turn and it suddenly started working.

So it’s up but everyone has to resubmit their orders for the turn. If you connect from the client you did your turn from, this should be automatic, just select “continue where I left off” and then exit.
