From Sven Vanson,

Back up. As a note I no longer check this thread so please PM or email me if the server isn’t responding.
Kghm. Psst, stone spheres kghm.
It only took 1 or 2. The scouts stuck to unfortified provinces. I guessed you’d fortify the important blood-hunting spots, so an earth reader back in the capital used the Agarthan scrying site to discover the population, PD, and troop levels for all your forts.

Banefire and Squidz 2 day warning. Both games will be down for approximately one week starting this Saturday.
Erm, is Squidz still running or can I kill it off? My server can use the extra cycles :D

don’t forget to take your turn in banefire, mike…you’ll have a whole week to process the map ;)
Well, I finally got to see my last hurrah against Abysia. That battle was ridiculous. It took almost half an hour to watch, and fast forward didn’t help because of all the spells. Sure, most of my army was on fire for the whole battle, but I killed two kings of elemental fire! Somehow a horror showed up and spent half the battle jumping around killing my stuff before it was finally offed. The best part was how Abysia routed, and then another ten turns or so went by while my army slowly killed the Kings of Fire.
Sadly even though I won, Abysia still has 500 troops left lying around in the area and is number 2 in the scores, so it’s only a matter of time. But at least it wasn’t a flawless blitzkreig, you flaming bastard!
As far as I’m concerned, we can kill it. There’s only 3 non AI’s left.

From Sven Vanson, Exking of the North,
Ok, i say Agartha has won. In the end it was a victory to much for me… My forces where nearly spend and agartha had attacked at exactly the same time as i subdued Ermor. At least i would say i had more fun in the game ;) as i had at every time a major war at the complete game…
Ok what next?

I thought I may have waited too long to attack you, but in retrospect it looks like waiting was the right move as you knocked out nearly everyone else in the game and exhausted a lot of resources. I wish I could say it was a brilliant strategy, but really I was just lazy. I kept coming home from work and thinking… do I really want to take 2 hour turns all this week?
I’ll see if I can writeup a little AAR later. This was my first time trying a lol of late game spells which was a lot of fun - those tartarians are wicked!
Agartha
New “Amateur” game coming soon… (AKA: I just bought the game!)

Yes, let’s call it–I can attack Agartha this turn, but to no avail; I only have three armies, two of which are entirely composed of vine ogres, one of which is largely wolves. He has REAL armies en masse at my borders. hahaha, congrats all, well played!

PS: What happened to that PBEM game “Markata”?
The sons of Helheim have reconquered their home province, sneaking every glamoured unit deep behind Vanheim’s front lines. A surprise attack, and we have returned to the halls of Helhalla. The rest of our lands are owned by Vanheim and Ulm; Kailassa only known by small piles of ape skulls scattered throughout the jungle. There are a few remnants of Ermor’s legions. All have fallen to Argatha’s might. We know that death will come for us soon, a long awaited brother. He is not unwelcome, for we will die, as foretold, in our ancestral home.
GG everyone. I’m quite impressed that Argatha pulled it off - what surprised me is that there seemed many good chances for Argatha to hit at Vanheim, and I thought that his lack of movement was lack of power. Clearly this was not the case. Never underestimate the power of a busy work schedule. Congratulations Quaro - well played everyone. And thanks to Jason Lutes for the great map, and to Soapyfrog for hosting and being a great ally.
This.
Yes!
Not sure when we’ll begin but you’re in. :)

Apprentices: Tien Chi:
The world is shattering as ghost riders are slaughtering provicnes and PDs by the score. Diseases, blights, evil attacks are aflicting provinces. Tien Chi and Utgard were involved in a defacto war but that blossomed into a full fledge war when Tien Chi struck first. We could only take so many turns of earth/magical attacks!
Tien Chi also suffered some incredibly bad luck when the main Tien Chi army died to Stygian Paths despite the commander having a 21 MR. That’s pretty darn unlucky I beleive(also wonder if there’s a bug b/c someone 403,000+) troops were lost to the Stygian paths spirts! But still, my mobility is temporaily offsetting his superior army, troops, gem, income, forts and provinces! I don’t think Tien Chi can weather the loss of that army but we’re goign down fighting.
Yikes! Never, ever, ever use Stygian Paths.
It’s a real shame to see someone have to learn that the hard way. The thing really should be taken out of the game.
