Does anyone else have problems getting the “monthly ritual” hotkey to actually trigger instead of just opening messages all the time, or is it just my bad luck?

Tien Chi is ready to surrender and acknowledge Utgard has the victor. This game is just playing out the string and I’ve lost so much interest that I’m letting commanders with uniques die to diseases. I don’t think there’s anyway to stop the giants from winning. Gave it my best shot but the styg path bug crippled my offensive. Well played by Utgard seizing the early lead and never giving it up.

Yeah, I got caught up in my war with Atlantis and the Giants apparently ate everyone else but Tien Chi. They are about four or five times more powerful than I am, Pangea, at this point. I’m not throwing in the towel yet, but it ain’t looking good and they literally ate my first army that attacked.
That was me…got back from a trip yesterday, still catching up mentally.
Will play as soon as I get home from work, in about 3 hours.

This is correct, a halt was asked for while some negotiations take place. The impending demise of the giants has everyone re-assessing their goals apparently :)
We pause turn based strategy games now? Crazy.
And since I’m not getting in on any of these negotiations, I’m assuming you’re all working against me and I’m going to bean you for it! Whatever that means.
I always pause my games if someone asks, unless that person is becoming a real problem. Luckily none of the Lanka players are problem people except for . . . , um , nevermind.
Hmm, I’ve been looking for a good war since it looks like my fun days giant stomping are past. Bring on the beaning.
