Unlike a lot of the shovelware that comes out of big pubs, Shrapnel games cater to niche markets so you aren’t going to see the big pub lifecycle where they pump out new games constantly and discount old ones to move old stock and cash in any way they can.

I’ve had it for a week so far. I haven’t played anything like a full game yet: I tried, but I got slightly overwhelmed by all the stuff I didn’t know what it was. Still, I like what I see, and Bruce did an excellent job with the manual.

Late Atlantis is a pretty neat faction, although you almost have to take 3-Productivity. Having excellent amphibious troops AND sailing AND a cheap spammable sacred gives plenty of options. LA Atlantis has some pretty serious gaps in it’s unit and magic lines though.

Just wanted to let you know that Hetzer won’t be able to connect to any games he is in for a couple of days because of his internet connection being broken. It would be great if those games could have their timers turned off until this problems are fixed - which should be not too long (couple of days).

Thanks to Lanka and Apprentices for pausing the game (I can’t log into Hoplite for some reason, or couldn’t last night, so I don’t know if it was paused or what).

I’m back and the trip was full of drama (bleh) and goodness (yay).

I won’t be able to log into Banefire or Hoplite for a while, probably a week or so, due to my computer breaking down. I don’t know if anyone wants to pause those anymore, since it seems like they haven’t been running for ages anyway. Too bad this whole breakdown didn’t happen a week or two earlier, then it wouldn’t matter.
