ANOUNCEMENT: Game is filled and Marcin has agreed to host the game, so we don’t have to worry about PBEM. However, to keep things simple I’m still acting as the admin, i.e. email me your pretender files (with Qt3 username) and I’ll keep track of preferences. Anyone have a problem, feel free to PM me.

Ever since I got dominion killed in Banefire, I’ve been looking to join another game or host my own. Unfortunately, I can’t for the life me set up a server behind my router, so we’re going to do this the old fashion way, by email. I created a special email account just to handle this: qt3dominions@gmail.com. If you need a refresher on how to PBEM, read page 29-31 in the manual. UPDATE: Marcin has agreed to host so no PBEM. However, I still need everyone the same email adress their pretender files which I’ll forward onto Marcin.
There is space for 7 players, 6 after me. Out of a sense of fairness, I’ll give preference to players who are not currently in a multiplayer game, so be sure to say whether or not you are in one if you dib a slot. Finally, anything with TBD is up for a vote, so if you want anything but the default settings say so.
Since I tend to blame my unheroic demise in Banefire on lousy map design, I went ahead and created my own map, or rather I used the random map generator to create a map which I then proceeded to play test and tweak. The result was Ilzgot.

The map has the following properties:
- 120 territories, of which 16 are underwater.
- The map has been manually adjusted to limit starting positions to territories with 4 or 5 land neighbors. Due to the smaller amount of sea territories, I had to lower my threshold down to 3 underwater neighbors. I also disabled starting at any territory I believed represented an unfair dis/advantage (e.g. underwater nations won’t start in the landlocked lakes).
- A relatively even spread of forest, mountain, and farm territories.
- In my playtesting, I found 8 nations tended to cause a bit more crowding then what I believed was comfortable. Hence the 7 players limit.
- Map tends to be open with few “natural” boundaries, but some opportunities for creating choke points exist.
