You know how hard this game is?

I actually had a dream last night about it.

Of course, it played like an RTS game instead of what it is now. So i played a 2on2 against people here and one of the “elites” from the Shrapnel forums whom promptly rolled me like a rank newbie after about 10 minutes of “real time battle”. He then proceded to taunt me about how i dared post strategy at the Shrapnel forums and that i obviously didn’t know what i was talking about! :)

Banefire is on hold per request. The game is running, but I’ve turned off the time limit until the 29th.

Magister: I’m ok with Ermor too. For my choice I rolled the dice and came up with Ulm.

Ilzgot available for download at Shrapnel Forum. Feel free to grab it now if you want to play test. Or enjoy it for your own game. Its like a random map with none of the stupid placements.

This is a chance for people in Magister to get the map, which they’ll need to do before we start playing anyways. I’m still going to send it out in a mass email once I get everyone’s pretender files, so consider this a chance to get it early. As always, if you have any problems email me and I’ll try to help in my limited experience.

I’ve recieved pretenders from everybody I was expecting them from except indierthanthou. I PM’ed him earlier and haven’t heard back from him. Considering that I asked people to start sending me pretenders over the weekend, he’s had more than enough time. I’m giving him 24 hours to get that pretender emailed or his spot opens up. On that note, the next person who emails qt3dominions@gmail.com with pretender from a nontaken nation will get his spot if I don’t hear from him in 24 hours (10 pm, Eastern Standard). Hate to sound harsh, but a most basic ability to meet deadline is vital for everyone to have fun with the game.

Edit: Nick Walt wins the alt contest. He’s dibbed Mictlan. On that note, if anyone wants to change their pretender design, PM me and prepare a new one fast. I really want to get this thing started.

Is this not a game for seasoned vets? Because two of the players in Magister (Hi Hetzer, Hi wahoo) are both outpacing me in QT3-Lanka so if my skillz are too l33t for this game then those guys are definitely out ;-)

Magister

It is up and running at froggyfish.net, port 8080 (if I’ve done everything correctly). You should have received an email with the coordinates as well - please be aware that some email hosts aggressively block my host (since it’s all dynamic and whatnot), so you’ll have to white list it in advance, or check your spam folder.
