With Mictlan’s demise official, this strikes me as a good time to post a mid-game report. The map will tell you roughly current positions. The point of contention is where Mictlan was and several nations moved in. If a war break out, I expect that place to be the hot spot.

First, Consolation summaries:
Ulm - May he rest in peace. His starting position was defensible, but not particularly rich. Decided to test Van early and got soundly beat.
Mictlan - Just goes to show that a W9F9 bless is beatable. R’lyeh got the better of him early, but his starting position made him border many sharks who smelled blood in the water. Was soon over run from several angles.
In no particular order:
R’lyeh - controls the sea and has the highest research rate. Now also has control over several landed provinces. Armies are smaller the Ermor’s, but he’s gaining quickly. With the easily defended sea territories and void summons, R’lyeh is in a very strong position right now. Oh, and lots of gem income.
Ermor - actually has the largest number of provinces in the game right now. Plus, many Fortifications. Largest armies, but a good portion of it is chaff. Doing very well in terms of research despite being ermor. Also has a lagging income.
Midgard (Van) - slightly trails Ermor in provinces, but is far and away the strongest economic power house in the game. Easily beat Ulm early, but that was probably because Ulm wasn’t that strong to begin with. Also is second only to Ermor in Fort counts. Research is pretty bad and army counts are pretty small.
C’Tis - Has the uneviable position of being between a rock and a hard place (though whether ERmor or Van is the hard place, I don’t know). Still, is doing a phenomal job with research, second only to R’lyeh. Plus has the third largest army in the game, and when first and second have free spawning chaff, thats saying something. Lowest income in the game.
Man - Also stuck between Van and R’lyeh. Similarly situated as C’Tis, but is number two in terms of income. Man has the worst research in the game, currently.
Edit: Grabbed the wrong hot link. Considering the size of the map, a thumb nail is much more appropriate.
