Can we put a timer on this game, please?

Was planning to in a few turns. I’ve had some connectivity and notification complaints early on so I wanted to give people extra time while I was working out some kinks. Which I think are all worked out now.

Sorry for holding things up. I was feeling tired because i was getting sick, and ended up spending the weekend in bed. Should make my turns faster now.

Ugh im sorry too, i have a few problems with my time at the moment, but i´ll do better in the future

Nick: Can we move lanka to a 72 hour timer? 48 is too compact given the length of the turns.

LANKA Maverni:

you win some; you lose some. Took a Lanka territory. Lost a bunch more. Lost some territory to R’lyeh. Took some territory from R’lyeh. Killed some commanders; lost some commanders. Still taking a beating but doing ok despite a 3-1 fight.

I can move the game to 72 hours if we can get a majority vote on that from the remaining players.

I must give credit to wahoo to fighting well when cornered. I’ve taking much higher losses than anticipated in my offensives against him and I’m having to hold up my main armies to move forward reinforcements. Though one throwaway spell did produce some unexpected sweet results. I’d had one of my (theoretically) more potent armies shattered by an air queen dropping by to blow it up. Thuella was well kitted out with uniques and everything and totally blew up my advancing army. I was wondering how the hell I was going to crack that nut. Then this happened:

To say I’m unhappy about Thuella dying is an understatement. I figure the odds were very, very, very low considering she had high MR and I had given her high MR items. Bad times for me and quite a lucky blow for you. I had big plans for her.

I’m pretty damn pleased with my defense. I was able to shuffle some defenses around and even counter-attack at certain times. You’re still grinding me down pretty quickly killing some of my best units that are not replacable at this time of the game. I’m short on troops, gems and gold which isn’t fun.

Let me bitch about mind hunt for a second.

So, when you mind hunt “gorblatz”, hell if i’ll ever know where gorblatz was located, so how do i stop it if i can’t figure out where it’s happening?

Also, i’m suprised you managed to catch his Elemental Royalty without an Astral escort. I tried hunting them many times and got feeble minded in the attempts (fortunately on an immortal hunter though :).

Doesn’t that suck? Pisses me off too. I’ve been the victim of some serious mind hunting lately. I’m guessing it must be wahoo doing it, because I figured out eventually that it was my thugs and commanders close to the frontlines of my war with him that were evaporating. But it’s still maddening.

So, what’s going on with Hetzer (R’lyeh) in Magister? Is he still taking his turns or what?

On another note, what’s going on with Jeff? Are we still taking turns or what?

We’re waiting for Hetzer, who has indicated he’s a bit strapped for time at the moment.

We should probably get Marcin to take the game off timer, then. If I’d known he’d been getting eaten by RL I might have held off prosecuting the war he started. :D

Shame his pretender’s probably got fifty different teleport spells - the idea of him getting stuck in that fortress Midgard’s now besieging amused me.

With my only game on indefinite hold (and still only on turn 12), I’m suffering withdrawals.

Could this game please be taken off timer for a couple of weeks?

I’m having to move house and it’ll take a while to get the internet sorted.
I might be able to play the occasional turn, but can’t guarantee how often.

Is there a rule about Forest Domes not working on certain types of spells, or something relating their usefulness when sieged? So far I have yet to repel one of ~15 spells cast by my enemy (blood and earth assassination spells) while sitting inside of my sieged fort. However I DID manage to repel the only spell I cast at the sieging enemies. Do the domes only protect the nation who controls the outside of the fort?

I’m fine with a pause of X days for this game. Alternatively, I would be open to considering a change to a 96-hr timer, or a 72-hr timer with no quickhost.

Actually, I think he’s already flown the coop. Or at least he wasn’t showing up on scouting reports before I invaded. If not… Hmmm… I got a feeling my mages are going to get some target practice. Seriously though, we really should put the game on hold. I would like to get him to be a contributor to the DEGF.

Oh, I know he’s gone. I also know where he went. :) But if he stops trying to kill me with such remarkable futility I’d quite happily let him contribute in peace. I’m pretty much the last person who should be invading water anyway.
