Any chance on getting a noob game going? I’ve had the game since release but just haven’t had the time to get into it. I played one online game with some extremely impatient players (goddamn me for only being able to take one turn a day with a 48 hour turn limit!!!), but I’d love to give this another shot with some helpful players if anyone is interested in helping a bro out.

How many folks would be interested in a game that’s email based 48 hour turns? There’s a email Dom 3 server that we could use and I could see about getting it set up?

Folks interested in an email instead of network game, early or mid age and preference given to newer players so Tiohn can play?

If there’s 5 or so folks interested, I’ll go ahead and try to get space on the server. This way more folks than nick/Marcin can help host games.

I would be interested. I finally have time to play Dom3 again. I’m not exactly a noob, but there’s no way I can compete with any of the veteran players. I love the game, but I’m still pretty bad at it.

QT3-Lanka got a timer reset because my schedule went hectic this weekend and I didn’t want to stale a turn.

QT3-Lanka also went to 72 hour timer since I decided to switch my vote to “Yes” on that proposition thus there is a majority vote on it

Server was patched and restarted yesterday for Banefire and Magister. Banefire is still timerless per request, Magister is on 48 as before.

The stalemate, if there was one, is broken. Abysia’s ascendancy in the score graphs is over; judging by the graphs and from what I can see, Abysia is fighting for its life on several fronts, against not only Helheim, but C’tis (who entered the war a few turns ago). C’tis now has as many provinces as Helheim and Abysia, or me and Abysia, put together, and gold and gem income to match.

The Great Northwestern War isn’t decided yet – Abysia still has a large and powerful army, led by some of the best blood SCs in the game – but the scales are tipping towards the point of no return.

Someone uploaded a turn to Hoplite which reminded me somewhat forcibly there was a patch out. So Hoplite is now upgraded to the latest patch.

We must say, we do find the cool, crisp northern air of Niefleheim to be most refreshing. Our initial plan was to simply spend a few months traveling, incognito, through the countryside. Enjoy the beautiful scenery. Blend in with the local population. Interview them for our vacation guidebook.

But we discovered that the human population were unhappy. The phrase we kept hearing was that the Niefle giants “make us feel small”. So we felt it our moral obligation to help our human-sized brethren throw off the oppressive yoke of the evil giant overlords. A extra page has been inserted into the travel guides still on booksellers’ shelves, suggesting that travelers will be well-advised to wear a helmet and bring an escort of Sidhe warriors.

A well played maneuver, to be certain. Yet, you are about to discover WHY its so cold in Neifleville, and why the “people” think they’re small standing next to giants. Well, its because you’re small standing next to giants. Fancy illusions are no defense againt chilling auras, and just one of my Jarls when equiped can take on the whole of your forces. Hide all you want, you can’t stop me from marching with impunity over your sovreign territory, now can you?

Just ask Tien Chi what happened when one my tiny expanson forces accidently collided with his best mercenary commander with a fighting force of 100+.

P.S. In case he doesn’t tell you, I won virtually with out loss.

Ok: We have enough. I’ll leave it open for another day to see if anyone else wants to join. Also need to pick an age/country. I’m pretty indifferent except for no to LA.
For countries, I’ll go with Tir if early or Ulm or Eriu if middle. So start picking age/pretender
