Would anyone mind if I PMed Lum and asked him to take the game off timer for about a week? I have an assignment due on each of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and I have to prepare for two job interviews on Thursday.

Clearly Tariel’s magic resistance wasn’t as high as I thought. :| C’est la vie. With all those priests, She’ll be back soon enough, and the King in Yellow can’t be everywhere (how the hell did you surface the thing anyway? Air magic, I guess.).

Also, Burden of Time is a bastard, now that I’ve seen it cast for the first time. But I’m not bowing out just yet. At least I won’t be kicking myself about not trying harder to convince Hetzer that Ermor was the greater threat, since it seems he thinks he can take them on his own. :P

Nah, the mr was perhaps high… and it wasnt soul slay anyway… she got paralyzed from my archers… setting to large monsters… after that she was dead meat… and after calling she will have lost one of every magic path… that really sucks…

Let me just point out that this game is missing the absolutely most critical aspect of any dominions game: a clever injoke name.

Meanwhile… Magister

Hey, its nice to actually win on occasion. Albeit it against a lowely garrison force. Anyways, Next stop, Ermor!

I’ll take Yomi.

Does that mean you’re coming by for tea and crumpets? Or did Man and Midgard brainwash you into turning on me?

Somebody is confused (I blame R’lyeh), but I AM MIDGARD.

Haha! Indeed you are! For some reason I think Greatatlantic belongs in the ocean and therefor you must be playing R’lyeh. And what garrison force are you talking about?

You’ve taken your turn, surely you must have noticed that one of your forts is under siege despite being patrolled by 500 or so undead.

Oh, the PD and zombie hordes. When you said garrison I was wondering if I lost the guys inside a castle somewhere and didn’t notice somehow. Don’t worry, there’ll be more people coming to that party soon enough.

With cake!

What’s the race called, Formian? The one with the firbolgs and the deformed giant guys? I’ll take them if I’m thinking of the right guys and no one else has claimed them.

Is that the cave dwelling cyclops nation? If you take them then I’ll go with Sauromatia (sp)…or any other new nation that’s not already spoken for.

I think there are two cyclop nations now. Formoria is the new one just added in the latest patch. It seems based around cursed sea giants. Agartha(so?) are cave dwelling amphibious cyclops, at least in early age.

Yeah, that’s them, Formoria. They are very interesting and I’d like to lose with, er try them.

:)

1)tiohn: Mictlan or Lanka
2)wahoo: leaning towards Arco
3)Jason Lutes Tir na n’Og
4)evil steve-Formor
5) Guild Boss: SAURO
6)Matt Perkins: See #4
7) LSB: Niefheliehim
8) Idar Thorvaldson

MAtt: Evil Steve already called Formor but talk to him about it. I’m pretty indifferent but leaning towards either Kailisa, Arco or Pan or Atlantis.

Ah, np there… I was just trying them out yesterday and didn’t realize they were picked. I’ll pick another tonight…and actually look at the list of what’s already picked. :p

This one is getting cumbersome because it’s basically four huge empires left on the map and the other three are fighting me. Well, Rlyeh seems to be staling consistently but the other two are fighting me!

Maverni is a broken empire, I’ve cut them in half and am harrying the remnants of their empire and raiding their heartland. But they will persist for awhile longer because TC demands too much of my attention for me to focus on Maverni.

TC is an interesting can of worms. I thought them heavily focused on their sacred summons and was ready to counter that style of army. Instead they’ve shown up to the party with tartarians, iron dragons, abominations, and other monstrosities from the upper echelons of the conjuration tree. Ought to be a fun fight if we can get our main armies to meet since I’ve got all the monstrosities from the upper echelons of the blood tree.

The armies of Oceania march to war. Errr, well maybe not march. Swim briskly anyway. Unable to withstand the constant diplomatic slights from our Tir Na Og and their total rejection of our doctrine of piscis superioris we have declared war!

We fart in your general direction!

Whee! 3 on 1! I suppose Van will be next, just to make it unanimous.

We are not retreating - we advance in the other direction!

I suppose I’ll have to pick one of you to focus my rearguard action on, to make sure that all the good spoils go to someone else.

Should it be Oceana - who is currently the only threat to the homeland? A logical choice, as I will be forced to defend closer and closer to home.

Or should it be Niefleheim, the ring-leader, whom I have already weakened? If I keep destroying those expensive and capital-only giants, it wouldn’t be too long before the double-crossing TC sees that there is easy hay to be made in the north.

Or perhaps the double-crossing TC themselves? Do be careful about your agreements with TC, as I suspect that the “mutual defense” alliance that he proposed and I accepted only a couple of turns back is not currently causing him to attack himself in retaliation.

Or will someone decide that they’re not looking likely to get the kind of profit they want while their partners get all the good stuff, and pull back, or even switch sides?

Or will everyone get nervous that they’re not getting as much as the other guy, and a sudden 4-way truce breaks out?

Stay tuned, fans!

Defense alliance, not ‘sit still while I conquer your other neighbour’ alliance :) . I proposed that when things were still quiet; when you without warning conquered most of Niefelheim’s lands the same turn you accepted, including, significantly, all his southern lands bordering me, I didn’t really see much reason to grab a few marginal provinces up north and some marshes while you conquered his heartlands, so I never concluded the treaty I proposed to you.
