I’d imagine there’s plenty of peeps traveling this time of year so it’s probably best to put the game on hold till after the new year.
Happy holidays, Dom fans!
Likely from Ulm, who’s been advertising :)
If you do come up with something that will stop that thing, let me know.

Mist Spell and Inquisitor will be offline from Dec. 20th to Jan. 3rd.
Suspened in that they’ll be off timer, or suspended as in you’ll be away and will take down the servers entirely?

Woops, sorry. The latter.
“A huge tartarian monstrum was seen towering over the army” in Niefelheim.
Seems we’ve officially entered the Late Game.
Already? What a seriously boring game this is. I’ve had a few small battles, can’t beat anyone at all on land, and am probably unbeatable underwater until someone conquers all the land and turns all their gems towards aquatic tricks. Yawn.
I’m never going to play an aquatic race again.
Thats one way of looking at it. I prefer to see this as I NEED TO HAVE MORE PATROLERS!
Seriously, though. Can you really say its Late Game unless I have units ready to cast Gift of Reason, Level 8 construction, and ALL magic paths covered? Because I don’t have all those things. Oh, and Wish, if I am to believe the Shrapnel boards you don’t have endgame unless you can cast Wish. Not sure what to wish for even if I could cast it.

You look for the shrapnell boards for gaming advice? How boring… i try to find out myself, much more fun that way.
Agartha (Crom): Things are starting to get cramped. We’re seeing several new fort constructions on our borders already. Time to put our diplomacy hats on…
Pythium (Inquisitor): Oof, rough start. I’m surrounded by things that are tougher than my early armies. My heavy infantry cuts down indie infantry like so many paperdolls, though, so that’s a plus. It’s just that most of my starting indies have other nasty things defending!
Eh, its more like go to figure out how to play. I still have plenty of my own ideas about how to play a civ. You’ve met one of them with Vyktoria.

She’s inspired me to test out Virtue pretenders in single-player. The more I play with them the more I like them.
I haven’t had a chance to use a Virtue yet in dom3, but they were a favorite of mine in dom2.
Maybe I should play some SP - Kind of sad that 3 has been out so long and I’ve played what, maybe 4 games altogether?
Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

Maybe you don’t have all of those covered, but you surely can cast GoR and if you have Conj-9 then you also either already have Const-8 or will in a turn or 2.
Agreed. I even toyed with the thought of invading you just to give you something to do.

Lets see how good she really is… mistform, luck and fireresistance alone isnt that mighty…
Boring for you, maybe :). Last turn, I fought seven battles, lost my prophet to an assassin (only thing of value Looming Hell has killed the last three turns), captured a fortress, and mind-enslaved a Father Illearth who is now marching at the front of one of my armies. That’s been about the standard level of action for the last few turns.
I am away from now (Dec 13) until Dec 26, so I will miss three or four turns in Inquisitor if the timer is left on. Unless others need to suspend the game, however, this is okay with me. I’ll have lots of gold when I get back!
Oh, wait… Inquisitor is not on a timer. Well, then I extend my apologies to all for not taking my turn between now and Dec 20. :(
As for Crom, it would be sweet if the timer were removed as of this last turn, if it’s okay with others.
You’ve got to PM wahoo and get him to decide on that. I’m not in Crom, I’m not involved in Crom, etc. So with Crom I just do what wahoo says.
So, in Crom, who is it down there that took a blessing that apparently requires -3 scales in EVERYTHING?
And in Inquisitor: sweet pooping Jebus! 20 of Midgard’s skinshifters just completely steamrolled almost 60 of my troops and my prophet with maybe 1 or 2 casualties and literally no support. Now I have to wait a month before the next turn.
Shit.
No, I think I had three casualties, and those really weren’t all “your” troops. There were several barbarians and other weaker indies thrown in as well. Anyways, that wasn’t an aggressive attack, just a probe to see who was to the south hindering my dominion spread.
As for timers, Inquisitor should have been on a 48 hour timer, but I think Marcin leaves those off when the game gets started to make sure no one stalls their first turns. At this point, with so many people out of touch at various points during the Season, both it and Mistspell should be taken off timers. I do encourage everyone to continue taking turns as they are able, though.
On another note, I can’t seem to connect to any game, which is odd because I just some turns last night (or was it this morning?). Anyways, I’m going to try some troubleshooting and hopefully the problems will fix themselves after the current turns host.

Oh that is so totally BOGUS.
