Some people consider this cheating, but they are just dom3 weenies. In dom2, people did this every chance they got (not too often, really), and no one ever complained.

Casting Astral Corruption or Burden of Time

It’s like any official game forums, the rere-ranch escapees are given way too much voice. The reasonable people tend to clam up rather than debate with people who are fascinated by, but do not fully comprehend, crayola crayons. Mix in the faction that whines nonstop at the devs and the faction that sucks up nonstop to the devs and you’ve got a mess with a horrendous signal to noise ratio.

It’s good to skim for the occasional piece of info but I don’t really recommend participating.

I’ve played with some people on the Shrapnel forums and none of these things are prohibited. Anything goes. Good group of guys/girls. No whining that I can see.

That has been my experience as well, barring the occasional problem in the ‘Every Nation’ game.

It has quited down a bit, was much worse in the dom2 days, at least when it comes to the whining.

well maybe I’m just letting bad past experience sway my current view then. As a general rule of thumb though I’m leery of any devs offical forums because that’s the first place the whiners flock to.

I put my pretender there on purpose to see if he could kill a giant or two. He’s immortal, so I assume I get him back after the fight? Maybe I’m wrong. I’m no dominions scholar, that’s for sure. I’m not even sure if an immortal pretender comes back with his equipment intact.

No equipment, but he should pop right back up as long as you were fighting in your own dominion.

Well I think you had dominion there, so I guess he’ll be back? Thanks for the bracers of protection, though. Based on one of my giants looting your bird’s body I guess you might not get your equipment back, I’ve never actually seen an immortal get resurrected though.

Uh… We had a “3-turn NAP”, as in it lasted 3 turns, not “ongoing NAP requiring 3-turns advanced notice to legally withdraw from”, and that expired a long time ago.
