Googling it brings up some error in the flash rendering lib, and I was never very sure of what exactly X is doing to make my video card work. I know it’s very clunky and laggy, and on a machine like that, for the windowing system to be laggy is a sure sign of weirdness. I guess the weirdness + the crash … I dunno.

Trying to find any drivers for what is essentially a server box was always too much effort :P

Crom: Something’s screwy. Just got the new turn notification but when I tried to log on, Dom3 got stuck in a loop at “Receiving file”.

So I applied the new patch (thinking it may have been the cause) and logged in with no problem but it’s the old turn, waiting on Sauro, with 47 hours left…

What’s the poop?

update i patched, went back in, old turn still there, fiddled a bit while Fomoria burns, updated. so i don’t know. that’s not unusual.

I’d love to see mistspell/marcin patch in conjunction with Nick patching. get all the hosters patching around sometime.

Well crap, I might have deleted all the .2h files in the wrong folder :(

It’s wahoo’s call at this point, I can delete everyone’s turns and reset the timer or you guys can play it out and see if it hosts cleanly.

That was a patch notification, not a turn notification. Should have had a slightly different text than the regular turn notification. Man, it looks like I wasn’t on the ball patching crom, sorry guys.

I just patched, connected to Crom, it accepted my turn, everything looks right, and I quit. Seems like things might work.

Of course I have no real idea what I’m saying.

It says in the patch notes that score graphs will disappear after patching old games. So I guess I should mention Inquisitor and how it looked like Jomon (I think) had more provinces than everyone else combined before I forget again.
What’s up with that? Is Jomon off in a corner all alone?

I’m guessing thats the case. Remember each VP (marked by a crown) is a capitol on this map. Somebody in the North east had it relatively easy, and probably combined with a heavy bless and/or awake SC Pretender. Meanwhile, you and me and others get our expansion stuck pretty early on, with no way to get bigger accept through each other.

Inquisitor is stuck at “receiving turn file” like Guildboss reported happening with Crom. Crom appears to have hosted fine.

You didn’t patch, did you? I think I remember having the same problem, but that might have been with the newest patch. Before I patched, I made a copy of the .exe and renamed it something appropriate. Then patched. If I want to play using the older version, I use the copied executable. Somebody advised this on the shrapnel boards and it seems to have worked for me.

It doesn’t appear to be as of this morning. Connecting with a patched game didn’t work, but connecting with the previous patch worked fine.
