Two Ninja/pirates! Your server will never be the same.

Congratulations!

I can tell you from experience that 2 kids is nowhere near twice the work of 1.

It is more like 100 times the work :)

I’ve heard that latter bit, that the effort rises exponentially not linearly with the number of children. But I doubt the next shall be a ninja/pirate. Next one is going to be a girl and they are much sweeter little beings. Right?

Wait till he sees the grocery bill.

And in the spirit of staying OT:

Crom (Agartha) - War on two fronts! Keeping my head above water with my national summons. I wonder if we’ll win the bid…

Inquisitor (Pythium) - Uh, where did all the indies go?

Well that’s cute. Pythium agreed to an indefinite peace treaty a few turns ago, and just declared that he’s going to war with me because he’s allied up with Midgard. So, look out for that.

Hey be happy… jomon didnt even declare war but didnt start to stop to invade my country with his forward forces… tsk tsk tsk watch your beaches ;)

Yeah, just looking at the maps and the score graphs, I think it is entirely possible for Jomon to just steamroll its nearest few neighbors, and then … well, then they’ll have half of the map, and the smart money will all be in one place.

So the neighbour north of jomon should gave me a message… where i send the best bloodspells and so on ;) oh and jomons afford should lay in the south so an attack from the north could be devastating… ;)

Blood is thicker than water! Or something like that… shrugs

But hey, at least I sent you an actual “declaration of war” message before attacking. That’s got to count for something!

It’s either C’tis or Pangaea.

I guess the thing about an “indefinite” peace treaty is that is doesn’t have any specific requirement for how many turns worth of notice have to be given in order for it to be canceled.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch…

Is still plugging along. It looks like yet another global caster was fried by a Horror on the very turn he cast the global. This time it was TC - not sure if it was TC’s pretender or not. For those of you keeping score at home, the current batch of horrors are due to the 2nd casting of Astral Corruption in the same game - Niefelheim put up one of his own shortly after Vanheim was eliminated. Needless to say, the other remaining powers are now all at war with Niefelheim.

So who is starting the next one? I would start one but i dont have a server so it would be by e-mail and i dont think that many players around here want that…

I realized something after posting this. I like to read the trash talk about games I’m not in, or not in anymore, but I don’t care nearly so much about what nation is doing what to who as I am interested in which player is doing things or having things done to them. I always wish people would identify players, because there is no rational way to look them up in this monster thread. So here is my amended report:

You can feel free to start a game and shoulder the admin organizational duties and I’ll host it on my server.

Crom: When Treachery Turns Bad.

Right now, everyone but TC and Tir N’g is involved in at least 2 wars. Formoria(evil steve) is being assaulted by Arco (wahoo) and Agartha (Crom) and it looks bad for Formoria. Sauromatia( Matt Perkins) is fighting Agartha and Niefelhiem(lazy, shiftless bastard). TC (Dave Perkins) is also fighting the Giants. it’s a bit of a confusing mess with so Formoria being the biggest loser and the Giants fighting desperately against Sauro/TC with TC being far the toughest. Agartha is a winner taking a lot of Formoria lands, but has to fight against the Sauromatia invasion.

Arco has Tir N’gog (Jason Lutes) bordered on my backside. I feel bad b/c Tir started on an isolated island and has had a hard time getting going. But they’ve finally got going and I was assaulted (not really treachery as Jason warned me not to trust him and if you’re invisible, backstabbing is expected). My PD crushed some call of the winds and I keep popping my reserve home guard around and an fortunate Draconian invasion landed atop them and was quickly dispatched. Unfortunately a large sailing force by Lugh the long-handed successfully laid sieged to one of my castles and blew through its defences in the turn it landed.

Sadly for Lugh he could not issue the storm the walls order as one of my stealth naids failed to seduce him so had to kill his bodyguards and then kill him. You always hurt the ones you love, but you kill the ones who don’t love you back.

I’m enjoying the heck out of Arco even though I put myself in a huge bind by completely misunderstanding how to use a virtue.

Well just to make it clearer, in Inquisitor GuildBoss is Pythium and Greatatlantic is Midgard.

Just for the sake of discussion I (Niefelheim) am really only at war with Tien Chi (Dave Perkins) right now. Sauromatia (Matt Perkins) and TC (any relation?) originally started out double teaming me, but since Sauro and I bordered on a choke point his giant army couldn’t run willy-nilly into my lands. Like Dave’s did.

It turns out giants aren’t very susceptible to his units and I wound up taking over his fort and wiping out probably over a thousand of his troops in successive battles. After a while we sort of informally went into a silent truce, since he seemed to wander off and I went to running around in circles retaking and relosing provinces from/to TC rather than bother invading him. From the above post I guess Matt got busy going to war with Agartha instead of feeding his troops to my giants.

All of this talk about what I may or may not be doing in Crom is detrimental to my cause in the game, and I plan to bring a suit against all concerned if the talk doesn’t stop. I’ve recently hired the mercenary group “Silverman, Thompson and White”, who command 150 men and women and were willing to be hired for 15,950 gold. I have them for three months, guaranteed. Just sayin, that’s all.

Inquisitor

To Mictlan: Sorry about that, Hetzer. I actually got your in-game message the turn AFTER I gave my march orders. I was going to reply this turn with a formal DOW, but then your message here made it moot. But to make it official, Jomon declares war on Mictlan. Down with human sacrifice! Down with archdevils, revolver ozelotls, and multiblessed jaguar/eagle/rain warriors!

To Everyone Else: Everyone who fears the big bad Jomon should remember that I have:

A) worthless sacreds, unlike half the guys in the game;
B) no uber national mages;
C) no blood magic, unlike Mictlan;
D) no death magic (unless you count Dai-Oni, whom my national mages can’t even summon!).

Where you see a towering lead, I see me compensating for my weaknesses and making the most of my strengths. :)

Spin it, yo! Now go take yer damn turn! :P

No shit man. I wasn’t prepared to go to war with the giants at all. I’m got slaughtered over and over. It was a good idea in terms of relationships and otherwise, but not in terms of my troops vs. your troops. I’ve recovered a bit from that, but almost lost my capitol to Agartha after losing most of my troops to you.

Yeah, I got attacked from the south a bit unexpectedly and was one turn from losing my capital all together. I’ve pushed back and so far, so good, but now I’m afraid what with having wars on both borders.

Agartha, if you’re listening, do proceed to exit to stage left and all of that, otherwise, I shall have to…I don’t know, grow wings and get shit done! Maybe.

Just some random mook with expensive gear.
