Niefelheim (Greatatlantic) conceded and went AI as promised. He left behind a collection of 40+ Jarls and 40+ Niefel Giants whom had never left their capital, Until the AI took over, anyway. Now they roam the countryside like a gang. I think they all got tattoos in Virgin Valley last night. I’m trying to herd them towards TC’s position, though it will be really fun to watch if the AI decides to use them to break the siege in Entwoods. That is another one of Niefelheim’s own-goals. His Astral Corruption appeared to hugely increase the appearance of named Horrors attacking provinces, and his fort at Entwoods is besieged by Kurgi the Slave to Unreason.

The final battles are about to fought, as the truce between Tir and TC has now expired. I want to publicly acknowledge that Idar honored his 3-turn commitment even after Greatatlantic went AI, leaving Idar and I as the last 2 standing. It should be fun - TC has literally thousands of troops. We’ll see what other sorts of tricks he has up his sleeves soon enough.

ACtually, my AC is the sole reason named horrors attack provinces. Remember how I said I used Claws of Koytus to protect myself from horrors? Well the spell doesn’t kill the creature, just banish it. Eventually, said creatures escape and randomly attack a province. I noticed I was the smaller power, and thus it would on average hurt my oponents more than me.

How are your multiplayer games handled? PBEM? When I played Dom2, we used some website (www.mosehansen.dk ??) to handle the turns. No, I haven’t read all 162 pages of this thread, sorry! =)

Multiplayer is generally done via server hosting, ie Nick, Marcin, Lum and a few other folks have been kind enough to host a game or two on their machines. Thanks guys! You make it all possible.

There was some early noise about the Mosehansen server coming back for Dom3, but nothing came of it. Too bad, as I would think that given no shortage of people interested in helping, the costs to shrapnel for running a few linux boxes as servers would be pretty modest.

Ok, now get back to reading the other 162 pages!

Been a bit busy this weekend, and thought I had more time to take my turns than I did, sorry. Have only had time to look at the turns, not place new orders. Back now, though, and will put up a fight, at least.
