I just patched to 3.17, and now I can’t connect to Morningstar, or Inquisitor, for that matter.

Illwinter has found and fixed a bug introduced in the Linux v. 3.17 patch which caused a network problem. A new Linux v. 3.17 patch is now available for download. This is version ‘b’ for Linux only!

edit: after uninstalling the firewall, I still can’t connect to Morningstar. Anyone else having problems (I’m using XP)?
update: I can now log into Inquisitor, but not Morningstar, which would suggest that Morningstar is down.

I’m afraid to try to log onto either Morningstar (Sauro), Inquisitor (Agartha), or Crom (Tien Chi), because I can’t remember if I’ve last played on my laptop or my desktop.

If anyone checks at some point and sees that I need to make a turn, could you let me know?

Morningstar was in fact down, reason unknown. I’ve restarted it.

3.17 seems to have stability issues guys. Both of my games crashed again. No indicative error/warning messages in the server output as to why either :(

Both Morningstar and Crom restarted. No ability to predict how long they stay up though.

Morningstar crashed right after the Absyia player connected, according to logs. Whoever is playing Abysia in that game, can you delete any .2h file you have, ensure you are patched up to 3.17, and try again?

well its turns out I was right. 3.17 was buggy. The linux version anyway. So they’ve re-released it with a network fix.

Crom and Morningstar restarted with the latest patch. We’ll see if its more stable.

I’m one of a few hundred thousand in the DC metro area sans power. When the power returns, I’ll try to get my turn in. But I might need an extension b/c we might be w/o power tonight and up till saturday.
