Though it took several turns, and thanks to delays probably a couple of weeks, but the Emerald Empire has finally moved to honor its mutual defense treaty with Vanheim and invaded Ashdod from the South on multiple fronts. Lets see if discipline trumps size.

That makes three nations attacking me, what with Vanheim having broken my siege. Admittedly I probably brought this situation upon myself by attacking Vanheim.

Anyone bordering Eriu or Pythium who wants to have a bash at them will find a weakened front. They will also get my gratitude in the event of my survival, as well as access to dwarven hammers and other goodies.

Just as a public-service announcement: the 48 hour timer is up and running on Pax Ermor

Just as a public-service announcement: Ermor is winning Pax Ermor right now.

New turn up in Inquisitor. Did anyone stale the last one, out of curiosity?

I staled. I sent a message to LeSquide (C’tis) asking if he’d like to continue playing (sent it about a week ago) and haven’t heard back, so I imagine he did, too. Mercutio has already suggested we stop playing, and Rollory has stated that he’s just making mages and hanging back (he’s stuck in the far corner from you). My Pocket Ship can’t get reinforcements over to my front with you, as I related above, so I’m just fighting with giant hordes of Shamblers and Tritons (yawn) which can’t be a long-term strategy.

If LeSquide wanted to keep playing, I would, too.

I staled as well then. Tried to connect last night but was getting stuck on the waiting for game info screen.

As I said before I’m very ready to declare Jomon the winner, and have been considering going AI.

Sorry to interupt but im away from the internet for a few days could you please hold the timer, i hope to get in a turn this day if im able too…

Rlyeh

I just submitted Ermor’s turn, leaving only Eriu. If Perkins, D. can get his turn in before you leave we could sneak in that one extra turn.

So, is anyone not at war?

Remember people, half the fun of Dominions is publicly discussing your situation and reading what others have to say.

sheepishly raises hand

I’ll go first.

Yes, war was thrust upon the peaceful Ulmites last turn. Essentially, Abysia invaded me and took a province without declaring war or having said any word, actually. So now I’m going to utterly wipe them off the face of the map. MUAHAHAHAHA! Fear my Ulmish black plate!

I’m sorry good sir, but I believe you are mistaken. See, Abysia had clearly marked the provinces south of her beloved capitol as Abysian territory. It is not our fault that you didn’t check with the zoning office first.

And to be fair, we did not attack your cute little army, we instead took one of the undefended provinces so as to start talks between our two nations instead of starting war.

I fear this miscommunication about zoning and rights to land and so on could bring war between our great nation and your feeble one. And we obviously don’t want that…

Unless you refuse to leave our lands.

We’ll be sure to check in with the Zoning Office at your capital…just before hanging the officials and burning it to the ground! MUHAHAHAHA!

Never mind with taking off the timer… im back.

Pax Ermor:

i’m leaving Friday PM and back Sunday PM. Can the timer get an extra 24 hours over the wekeend? Unles sthe game hosts friday night/saturday am in which case i’m fine…

no u cant

On a similar note, I might be the path of a hurricane. It’d be a huge stress to loose power for more than 48 hours, but it might just happen. So, I’ll guess I’ll send a PM to Kraaze to take the game off timer.

On another note, my advance on three seperate fronts against Ashdod appears to have momentarily paid off. Or, at least it would have had a stray arrow not hit a commander causing him to fail a morale check and taking his army with him. Still, two out of three ain’t bad.

Hmm. In LeSquide’s case I think it’s due to lack of time rather than lack of interest. I take your point, though - the net effect is the same.

Even without the Pocket Ship being of any use, you could conceivably bring reinforcements in against me by opening a corridor through C’tissian territory - as you just did in the centre of the map - although I don’t know how practical that would be.

In the spirit of the Pax Ermor posts, a brief situation recap: Jomon is still the largest power in Inquisitor (controlling what looks to be 40% of the land mass in Cradle of Dominions) and has just brought up the Forge of the Ancients. However, in the northwest, a large C’tissian army, led by a wraith lord, is besieging a Jomon fortress on the border; in the centre, an Agarthan army, 200-strong and bristling with mages, has marched down to guard the route to the former Pangaean capital; and in the east, Caelum has around 400 troops besieging the former Pythian capital (controlled by me), mostly heavy cavalry supported by a Magus communion, the Caelian pretender (back for revenge after being killed during the last major Jomon-Pythian clashes), and cannon-fodder corpse men. In the distant south, Jomon armies have overrun the last Pythian strongholds, and, hopefully, should soon reduce Pythium, like Mictlan before it, to an underwater rump. Meanwhile, in the far east, Midgard remains defiant, having earlier stood off wave after wave of Caelian and Patalan attacks - I was fortunate enough to have had a scout in the province, and seeing a handful of skinshifters and living statues hold off many times their number was spectacular.

I do think I’m only a few turns away from victory, so it would be ideal if the game stayed up for a little longer - even if all my remaining opponents were AI or effectively out of the game - so we could wrap up a couple of the loose ends above, and have a nice, climactic showdown.

PAX

Peaceful Manchuka would remain not at war, but the aggressive Man-ites have encroached on our lands. They killed our prophet and dispersed our army. Cosmo is not pleased. Anyone willing to hit Man will be greatly rewarded when Cosmo ascends.
