Timer was actually off because I wanted to give the first post-patch turn a little extra time in case there were problem reports coming in. Since there’s been no complaints yet, I’ll probably reactivate the timer soon.

I haven’t got an email notification for 5th Nov yet, must be broken. Turn timer is set to 96 hours at the moment, perhaps it could be taken off timer until the email thing is fixed.

I’ll try to remember to check. It’s very possible your email providers filter it however, since it’s a completely unlisted server (my own) that’s unsecured in any way.

Bandar, Shinuyama and Vanheim still have not submitted turns. Have we heard from any of them that they are having problems?
I have to vote against just force-hosting, because I am at war with some of those folks and it obviously would not be fair. But it would be nice to have the game move forward before people start forgetting about it and losing interest.
Vanheim is at a marginal position and not at war with anyone for the moment, so it wouldn’t be a big deal if we force host him. BL and Shin, however, are another story entirely as you say. If they do not take their turns soon, or at least explain why they haven’t managed to take turns in the last 4 days… something may have to be done. The game must go on! I’ll PM them and ask whats up.

I think we may have had a power outage or something. I can’t reach my server this morning, so I’m assuming the game is offline too. Will investigate tonight.

Should be back up. I’m too tired to check the email though, way too many late nights with Left 4 Dead … I expect to verify it on the weekend though.

It seems wahoo still doesn’t have a living computer. Greatatlantic, can you take charge of making sure Nick knows that the turn shouldn’t host until wahoo takes his turn?
Unfortunately, the turn hosted without wahoo. I was away for the afternoon and evening, so I didn’t have a chance to cancel my orders. I don’t think it would have made a lot of difference to the one big battle, as it happened in the magic phase, but obviously Bandar could/would have done other things in other provinces.
For as long as the timer stays on and wahoo’s computer is out of action, I will refrain from hitting him any further (He started it, Mom! I’m just hitting him back!).
Last I heard from Wahoo he had figured out how to take his turn on a work PC, I think, and he said he’d be able to take his turn the next day (in advance of the auto-timer). Hence, I just let it roll. Honestly, I should probably have noticed something was up, but I’ve been pretty busy personally. Anyway, I’m going to ask Kraaze to turn the timer off again until Wahoo gets his hardware situation figured out… or a sub is deemed necessary. We can’t have a player stalling in the middle of a war.
It would be nice if wahoo at least gets to see what happened in the battle (which he’ll miss if the turn hosts as scheduled later today).
It is almost time to suspend the timer for Thanksgiving, anyway.
