Mind hunt works on anything eventually, if you have the money to keep recruiting and burning through astral mages.

Though that does make it trickier. Sounds like you’ve just got to break your forces up into smaller pieces and play a raiding game. That’s my preferred approach anyway, as I’m sure you recall :)

Har har

Two morons awaking the ctisian giant. I have a question for you? Do you know what scouts are for? At least to agartha (where i have scouts) i have a question: That was your best? i dont see another army, so? was the last one important? than uups…

There is very little I’d call a win button in the game, and Seraphs certainly do not qualify. Yes, they’re powerful and versatile, but the game gives plenty of counters for SC’s and Seraphs cost an arm and a leg an Astral Pearls to summon. For the same amount you can probably summon and GoR three or four Tartarians while holding onto pearls for Global Casting.

We still need turns from Hetzer and baruk. I’m thinking about putting the game on a 72 hour timer come the 3rd or the 4th. Remember, just because other people haven’t taken their turns yet doesn’t mean you should put off taking yours. Its likely somebody else is thinking the same thing resulting in a Catch-22 of the game not getting played. But we seriously need to get a timer going again. If anyone thinks they aren’t up for a 72 hour timer, maybe its time to discussing subbing. I understand it has been the holidays and people had computer trouble, but these long delays are good for the game.

I should get my turn done in the next couple of days.

True, IF you

a) get lucky and get useful kinds of tartarians with your 1st 3 or 4 castings (and only the air-earth cylopes are likely to be comparable in utility to the F4A4S4 Seraph)

b) have sacrificed other scales/paths/research priorities to be sure to be the 1st to forge the Chalice or put up GoH (which will not stay up, not in an end-game dominated by astral nations).

c) are willing to deal with the fact that every tartarian commander will ignore your orders and possibly do something quite destructive one out of every four turns.

So yes, Seraphs are expensive. But they all get (very) useful paths and they always do what you tell them to do. There is a reason why they are the most popular wished-for SC.

The real point is that Pythium is the only winner of the Ermor-Bandar war. Whether he chooses to press that advantage through summoning Seraphs or through some other means is just the details.

My trouble with the long delays is having to figure out what the hell is going on every time I log in. Why am I researching that? What did I build last turn and why? What are those troops doing over there? What were my plans for this commander again? Why is he carrying all these gems? GAH!

Oha i havent seen that im able to make a new turn… i will do asap.

Sorry for the delay

Just so everyone is clear, Pax Ermor is now on a 72 hour timer, which has already begun. Please start taking your turns again in a timely manner.

Only 26 hours until Pax Ermor hosts, and five players still have to submit turns. Please do so.

Pax Ermor:

Ouch. The Ermor counter-offensive was pretty spectucular. Destroyed the 2nd southern offensive and basically took everyone one of my lands not occupied by a huge army or a castle. Teleporting thaugs are 1 man armies with skelly spam. Bad ermor! And don’t think I didn’t notice that each of them has their own magic “return” gems on them to avoid the counter-counter-attack.

On the flip side, it’s a huge gem investment although a pretty good return for him.

My last big war in Mistspell was a game of wackamole. This war with Ermor is a bit more like chess when I’m outnumbered in pieces.

Now that’s the kind of positive customer feedback we love to get, here in the Friendly Empire. We would like to correct one item: nary a single skellie was spammed during Operation “We’re Tired of Our Under-Evolved Cousins Flinging Poo Everywhere, So We’re Going to Go All Apeshit on Their Asses”. We used only Soul Slay.

If you would be so kind, please visit our Friendly website, and rate your recent Operation WTOUECFPESWGGAATA experience.

Sincerely,
Ermorian management.

SOrry for holding up Nov 5. I was waiting for the email notification and just happened to look in my spam folder (gmail) after dinner tonight and BINGO! There it was…happy as a clam… gah

Someone hasn’t seen all the battles! In at least 1 fight we fought of the soul slays and then the skelly spam hit. It was one of the fights on the coast.

Oh well - we can never seem to get those crotchety old Grand Thaums to stick to the tactical directives for more than 5 spells. Must be old age. That one is dead now anyway - his renegade skellie-spamming days are done.

Oh my goodness! Someone is casting ghost riders at multiple Bandar Log provinces? Who could that be?

Yikes for me. Bad times abound for the monkeys vs the massive forces of darkness.

Anyone have any excess Earth gems they would like to trade to the Pythium Empire? We’re willing to trade Astral pearls or water gems (though I think I have a buyer for the later). If a player is willing to offer a large enough amount of Earth gems, we’d even be willing to forge Rings of Sorcery or even Wizardry. Just bring it up quickly, as it took me a while to save the Pearls necessary to make this offer, and I always have uses for pearls.

I think we should take a moment to note the final passing of Machaka and Man from Pax Ermor, though I believe both players had gone AI well before. If anyone would like to say a few words, now is the time.

Screw them.*

  • Just kidding.

[B]Machaka /B was my first ally in the game, and thankfully so, because our capitals were practically neighbors, and his pretender was a Wyrm with like +50 Fear who I wouldn’t have been able to scratch. He is also a good communicator and a generous soul.

Man (Evil Steve) does some of the best trash-talking, a sort of blend between ESL and role-playing, and our war was one of the most interesting of any game I’ve played.
