Pacific Dreams is meant to be a straight forward introduction to online play, so no random craziness. I also picked the Middle Age since I believe it to be the most balanced (though balance and Dom3 tends to be odds with one another). So, if you want in, pick any nation except Ashdod (which I think is noticeably OP) or a sea power (which is not allowed on the Six Lands map).

Atlantic Fervor is a break from the ordinary designed to mix it up for experienced players while making sure the game doesn’t drag on

Allright I’ll hop on for Pacific Dreams. My first ever multiplayer game.

Yea, same here. I’ll drop $30 as an impulse buy or an experimental purchase. $55 hits an emotional break point where I’d need to know it’s a contender for GREATEST GAME EVAR!11! before I spend that kind of money.

While I’ve played a good number of games of Dom2 I’ve never played a multiplayer game of Dom3. Would I be too experienced for Pacific Dreams? I would like Pythium if possible.

Hopefully the small map will make for a quick game. Dominions burns my brain in the late game.

Though I wasn’t playing dom2, I’m pretty sure most of dom2 gameplay is going to carry over well enough into dom3 to take away your newbie status. So, you’re almost certainly a better canidate for Atlantic Fervor, though not a perfect one, which is good since that game is designed to take away end game grinds. I hope.

OK, we have all the players required for Pacific Dreams. I have created the game at Llama server. I’ve included the link to the server’s FAQ below. When players are ready (and feel free to take your time), upload your pretender by emailing the server (its in the FAQ). I will say I made a slight mistake. The server can’t handle spaces in game names, so when emailing the server the game’s name is “PacificDreams.” Let’s aim for a start date of one week from now, or August 11th.

This link also tells us not to set a password for our Pretender. I thought I read somewhere that it was advised to set one. Should we not set Pretender passwords for this game?
