BTW, at some pt, I’d like to try a team game. 5 teams of 2 with a newer player and a more experienced player.

It is going to take me a few days to get my pretender in I think, and because this is the same race as my other game… I can do 2 strategies at once!! I should learn very fast- or have a higher rate of failure than anyone else .

You wouldn’t believe the bad luck I’m having in this game. Turn 4 rolls around, and I get hit with three more bad events. And this is with a Luck 1 scale! I then attack a province that has 28 Light Infantry/Militia with 40 of my Spire Horn Warriors, and they lose. They manage to kill only 9 of them while suffering 25 casualties. Say what!?

I then attack another province with 60 weak undead, and my Mammoths route with over 90% of their HPs remaining. Do they always route so easily? Oh, and while routing, they trample my prophet to death. *uck me!

Yes, yes…it must be Man’s doing. That makes perfect sense…

Ignoring that I should have easily won those two battles on Turn 4, the frequency of bad events at this early stage of the game (with Luck 1 scale, no less) is absolutely killing me. I currently have double digit unrest, and Misfortune 1 or Misfortune 2, in all of my provinces with tax rates at 50%. I had only 70 gold available to me this turn. 70 gold! Talk about getting punched in the nuts repeatedly…thank you, Dominions 3; may I have another!?

Me too dave- I’ve managed to gain a few more pounds of gold due to having nice tax seasons- poor surface dwellers. But soon you will be engulfed by the wonderful starchildren and forced to massage the mother brain.

maybe I should… move in on the nation close to me who has such bad luck, as my armies have been growing steadily- with underwater elephants.

If it makes you feel any better I lost my first attack on an indy province. I think I’m now the only nation who has still not expanded. Awesome start.
