BANDAR and LICTOR players

For some reason I got a spate of email errors in the last few days. I’m not quite sure from the error messages whether the messages affect single players or multiple players. Both games have hosted in the last 24 hours so if you haven’t seen a turn notification and you haven’t taken a turn lately, please do so. Also let me know if you didn’t get a Bandar notification around 6:27AM cst today, or a Lictor notification around 12:52PM CST yesterday.

I just got hit by the Hunter of Heroes in the Lictor game. Thankfully, it was a commander I can live with out. So annoying though.

I have done the seemingly impossible. I have taken Helheim, taken an F9W9 blessing, and lost - and looked bad doing it. As a final insult, my actual demise was not cause by the climactic final battle with Ulm that I had hoped for. Nope, I was done in by a random barbarian invasion event in the only province where I held clear title.

(actually, had Rob been aware of the quirky rule, he could have simply eliminated me by sending a token force to capture that last lone province - besieging a fort counts as owning the province in terms of gold income, but not as owning a province in the sense that you need to own at least one province to stay in the game)

I know that the game is DOWN, though…and I am praying it wasn’t because of my snafu.

Does anyone know what would happen if you try to do a turn using a different version from the server? I really really hope I didn’t screw the game up…

Both of my games are down. Turns out that playing your turn from a 3.04 client will crash a 3.01 host. It complains about file format mismatches and aborts.

Both of my servers will be patched tonite to resolve this issue.

I’ll delete your turn file Clark so that the computer will not think you’ve taken your Lictor turn.
