Uhm… the fact that the media got the photo from the Clinton campaign?
You know, if you gave me a sandwich, I’d say that’s pretty good evidence that the sandwich came from you, see.
That never stopped anyone here from Bush/Cheney/Rove bashing over the last 7 years :-).
Well, that’s because they were in charge of the government, and their outrageous behavior affected us all. Hillary is not, as yet, and it’s looking more an more like she’s not going to be.

I haven’t seen anyone in the media actually say that, which is why I’m asking.
Drudge, where this hubbub started, says he got the photo from a Clinton staffer. The Clinton campaign in general hasn’t denied that claim when asked that I know of although the “official” Clinton liaison from the Clinton staff to Drudge said, “Well, I didn’t do it.” So either someone else in the Clinton staff did it, or someone’s lying.
Maybe he was just holding it, hoping for an autograph.

Well… Yes.
I’m pissed, but ultimately it doesn’t surprise me. It’s just pathetic and sad. HillBill’s campaign managers have confirmed their position as incredibly overpaid manipulative scumbags, and this is their logical next move after trying to get the words “Obama” and “drugs” into televised conversation whenever possible.
The real stunner is just how plain stupid a move it appears to be. I just don’t see how this could do anything other than hurt the Clinton campaign.
The source is as a known sleazeball liar who’s made it his life’s mission to slander liberals. He was the one driving the story about Hillary’s husband cheating on her when President that nearly got him impeached. It clearly makes perfect sense that the Clinton campaign would leak it to Drudge. I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence that the right-wing chain emails are full of this stuff already - maybe Hillary started those too?
That’s an interesting point, I had no idea that the original source on this story (with respect to Hillary) was Drudge. I thought he was just the one with the best visual aides.
Her husband was cheating on her, and he was impeached. Are you saying that Drudge is lying?
Also, it’s odd that you would say he’s “going after liberals,” since Obama is more liberal than Clinton.
Drudge his a history of lying through his teeth and slander, almost always about liberals; ironically, Monica was the one story he got right. Remember the various stories about Clinton’s black babies?
Considering the history he has with the Clinton family, I find it more than a little implausible that the Clinton campaign, even some staffer flunky, would send that picture to Drudge.
And yet the Clinton campaign has had one person assigned to handing information to Drudge for months, and the campaign still has not denied the charge that they were circulating the picture. They’re being asked, point-blank, and they can clear up this whole mess by just saying, “No, we didn’t do it.” And they’ve said everything BUT that. They’ve said, “This particular person didn’t do it,” and they’ve said, “Why is Obama complaining?” and they’ve said “No comment.” Those are the three things I’ve heard the campaign say. But they have NOT said, “Our campaign is not spreading these photos around.”
Those actually came from Say Mcintosh, a Little Rock restaurant owner/self-proclaimed civil rights activist/pamphleteer/crazy person. Pretty much no one in Little Rock took them seriously because, well, it was Say Mcintosh and everyone at one point had one of his barely literate and usually pornographic cartoony pamphlets stuck in their car at some point if you parked downtown. Gossip had Clinton linked romantically with a local black newscaster (Deborah Mathis) while Governor, but then, gossip had Clinton linked romantically with pretty much the entire female population of the state.
If I’m not mistaken, after Clinton was elected President, Mcintosh managed to come up with an actual OMG CLINTON LOVE CHILD from somewhere, which should have been taken about as seriously as anything else he’d come up with up to that point. Clinton’s being elected was the best thing that ever happened to Mcintosh, because tons of conservative hit squad reporters were actually taking him seriously, to the pronounced hilarity of anyone actually living there.
