For what it’s worth, I agree with just about everything said in the Eurogamer review.

I really don’t know if I’ve ever said that before.

Why do you say that? Is it the AE damage or the extra healing and crowd control?

I thought I’ve asked this before, but I’ve always wondered if the gender neutrality of female characters being able to swing huge swords for big damage and wear heavy armor like the male characters helped mitigate the boyish silliness of the skimpy clothes, or whether they are isolated considerations.

both, having healing is freaking awesome, but one fireball usually take cares most of the ranges is even better.

Paralyze even work on boss, and last quite a long time.

Just picked up a CE from Walmart and I’m actually kinda impressed by the map. It’s nice and thick but along the top and sides are those stray strings coming loose. Oddly the bottom seems to be woven so as to not have loose fibers.

Yeah the manuals wafer thin, and black and white =(

Uh, no they didn’t. Unless your view of Spartan history is based solely on 300, of course.

I’m OK with giving up midriffs so long as there are barrel loads of cleavage to make up for it.

Sounds like a typical EA manual to me.

I just got a shipment notification from Amazon, so my CE will be here tomorrow.

I’m not really master at examining cup sizes, but I think most of the female characters in DA only have like B- cup or something.

Man, I left for work this morning and noticed the Amazon box was in my mailbox. Yeahhhhhhhh, I almost turned right around, but I figured it would give me something to look forward to.

I stand corrected but that makes my joke less funny.

Sounds like the console versions are significantly worse than the PC. Goddamnit.

The chestplates still pay appropriate deference to bust emphasis, it seems.

Hopefully there will at least be a few leather thongs arcing hooker-hip-high out from metal miniskirts.

The PC is the main platform, the console versions are ports. Also the PC version will have mods. It is obviously superior, yes.

And thanks, I’m definitely playing an elf mage now, then.

The Spartans (like other hoplite-based armies) fought in a tight phalanx: each man was protected on the head with a helmet, on the body by a gigantic shield, and on his feet by a sort of low greave (actually, typically only on the “forward foot”. The “fighting naked” part (I’d describe it as “fighting comparatively light compared to non-hoplite forces”) was in fact a practicality: if the phalanx broke, it was crucial to be able to run like hell, and once you threw away your shield you would be able to do that. Couldn’t do that if you were in full heavy armor.

The name for someone who fights without adequate armor who is NOT in a phalanx is “pincushion”.

Everyone, literally everyone, says the PC version is the best. But it’s still bizarre to me, because every time they say it, they then go on to give moon-person reasons for that judgment. So far, I have heard that the PC version is better because it is harder, involves more micromanagement, and has a WOW-style UI instead of a Mass Effect-style UI.

(Well, and also it has better graphics, but that falls into the “no shit” camp.)

I don’t know for sure, but since Bioware is handling all the extra stuff via their site, even if you are playing on a console, I’d imagine that it should work.

For example, they have to have something in place for the unannounced PC verison of ME2, right?

So, where do I buy that DLC? I don’t see anything on the Bioware Social Network, Bioware Store, or in the in-game DLC menu. The “Available DLC” menu is empty.

Ope and there it popped up after my other stuff finished downloading. I see they’re going with a points system where I need to buy points to then spend on DLC…

I think the problem is that some of us are moon people and think thats OK :)

Don’t forget the comfy chair.
