Speaking of pre-order bonuses, how are those handled? We just opened our boxes from Amazon, and there doesn’t seem to be a code for the boots anywhere.
Edit: Never mind. My wife just found that they will send the code in 10 days.
I think I need to go tell my wife I was wrong to try to soothe her over the issue of the in-game storage. That’s really cheap.
Now single player games have all of the fun of a B grade mmorpg release.
No kidding, this is terrible business.
Those must be some shiny-ass nickels to be worth such pedestrian virtual hawking.
Any tricks to getting the big dlc to download at a reasonable rate? If i restart the game will i have to start over again and not be able to play until tomorrow?
Is there a way to convert your credit card into an in-game inventory item? Maybe bind it to a hotkey?
They could even give you a little green mana/health-type bar that reflects your current bank account balance.
Edit: BTW, is there a Steam manual, or is Steam doing their usual thing and not offering it up right away?

Has anyone played both the PC and console versions? I want to get the PC one but I highly doubt I would put any more time in those than I did the last few PC games I bought (combined amount: 3 hours maybe). But then the console versions are said to be play very differently.
I just wish I had a better laptop.
So I’m not sure if this is a Steam-specific thing or a Windows 7 thing, but I’m downloading the game right now, and noticed that the selection box behind the Steam icon on my taskbar is slowly filling with green from right to left. It seems to be a progress bar for the download. Kind of cool.
I was able to download the 4 gig L4D2 demo in the time it took the game to decrypt. Now comes the fun of dealing with the damn keys.

Just got home with the game and am installing to hard drive right now. I haven’t looked forward to playing a new game this much since… maybe Myth 2 or Mech Commander 2?
So is there a definitive guide on how to download the DLC for the Steam version? Seems there are a number of conflicting methods.
I assume you enter the keys into your Bioware account site (the same one I have for Mass Effect) and then login in using my same details within Dragon Age and everything starts to download automatically?
It’s a Windows 7 feature, downloads with IE do this too.
This isn’t a first, though. Crackdown did this two years ago!

Grr… EA Store download service is SLOW today. I imagine it must be hammered. The 196.79 MB Stone Prisoner download is taking far too long for my level of interest in diving into the character creator!

Feh. Nothing shows up down-loadable for me. Not the Journey’s stuff, not the “in-box” DLC. A big fat zero. Multiple restarts and all that. Impulse version.
If you are lucky uninstalling this one won’t wipe your hard drive!
