The movement is so awkward, it looks like if they were sliding across the map.

I think the consensus has changed to where you don’t want this stuff in your game regardless. It’s either tacky looking or game breaking. I’m not interested in modding the DLC items in there anymore.

The best thing to do is just throw that stuff away the instant you boot up the game - it always detracts from the experience, especially in this series, it seems.

I wish more people had played DAO without the preorder stuff, and before the patch that lessened the difficulty was available - I think DAO was a much better game before any of that was available.

The pre-order stuff didn’t ruin anything for me in Data Access Object, probably because I played a leather wearing, dual-wielding rogue, Sweet, better swords to dual wield! Another set of heavy armor? Uh, here you go Alistair, you can wear it around camp while Shale does all my tanking.

Man, you want to talk about DLC fail? They have a DA2 ring on Epic Weapons. You get it automatically if you buy $15 worth of fake weapons from them, or you can Set Your Own Price. As of the last time I checked, you could set your price at $0.01, but once you get to check out there is no way to unselect shipping.

Shipping is $10 to the US. It’s $50 to Europe.

I think the Epic Weapons thing is kinda cool. Getting DLC codes with the purchase of merchandise is a nice extra for die hard fans.

But the 10$ shipping for the code is more of a website design fail rather than DLC fail…

On another note, I decided not to buy the game because of the actual DLC clusterfuck. I can wait for the inevitable Ultimate edition.

Maybe I DA2 can finally play a morally ambivalent male. In the past three BioWare games anything less then saint like virtue just seemed like needlessly going out of your way just to be an ass, and usually IMO it made slightly more sense for the protagonist to be female. But in DA2, if the point is to be an reformed kingdom founding bastard, it’s hard to imagine playing a female character.
