Darn it. The expansion is only showing up in my beta test copy of the game, not in the real game. Please fix!

You guys should add those giant pink scorpion diggles somewhere- they sound like a good enemy.

They show up if you pirate the game.

I think it would be interesting to have a hybrid system, where having the recipe guarantees success, and using a previously discovered recipe gives you a partial (but low) chance of success based on your tinkerer level or something. I dunno, maybe your character remembers seeing it on an old episode of MacGyver or something.

That way there’s still a bonus for having discovered a recipe before, but it’s far less effective than having an actual recipe.

Oh, and I should mention that the tutorials are messed up now, duplicates of some and others are missing (I think–I hadn’t done the original in a while).

Is anyone else getting the game is not available message from steam since the DLC fix patch? I’ve tried verifying the game files twice and no go.

Has the hotfix for crafting UI crashes gone out to Steam yet? I’m still having them and could swear the game updated today.

They have been twittering that the DLC patch is breaking the base game somehow. They’re working on both issues.

Looks like a restart forced steam to download another patch and it appears to be working now.

Worked fine for me.

Also: Goodness gracious is Tinkering a pain in the ass. Never again.

They’re going to rework the crafting, the new system they did was to prevent abuse but it made crafting unfun and cumbersome.

Being a Vegan is so weird, all the cute animal monsters wander around ignoring you and you go blind if you attack them.

Werediggle-ism is the only tree that goes all the way to the end of the screen, and “Dr. Diggle and Mr. Hyde” is the best skill picture ever

So, these new expansion features, are they spread throughout the dungeon, or only past the original Lord Dredmor fight?

There is new stuff from the very first level, no worries there.

I am running an emo vampire necromancer. Yeah. Emomancy gives me healing and multi target damage with The Cure and My Chemical Explosion, respectively. The Necro tree still rocks face for single targets, and vampirism lets me feed on corpses to recover from my many close encounters with second death. I am also using ley line walking to restore my vast expenditures of mana.

Has anyone tried being a Vegan Vampire? Can you still drink the blood of the dead?
