So no mention of Dungeons of Dredmor II 3D?? For shame people!

You know what Id like to see? A game where you played Dredmor, the dungeon master. Actually I want Dungeon Keeper 3.

I didn’t catch the joke until this line:

Dredmor 2 will use that one really annoying, unreadable font from Dredmor for everything, and not just the title text!

Well, that’s something they can always Kickstart.

I’ll say, the 1.0.10 patch is live on Steam and happily quite stable and generally lovely.

Also Dredmor for iPad is a real thing, though we have not set a release date. Mini FAQ here.

OMG. I will be getting this.

As much as I like the game, jesus christ is it ever full of tedium. Crafting involves hauling 8 stacks of items from floor to floor - you want to wait until you’ve maximized the skill to do anything, to get better results you see - and even on the easiest setting the map is crammed to the gills with tedious to clear traps.

I still haven’t made a crafting build because from what I have seen, it would be horrible with the limited inventory space.

I did figure out an easy win build last week, and stopped playing once I did.

I think my build was Swords, Dual Wield, Smithing, Piracy, Burglary, Archaeology, Assassination.

Really Swords, Piracy, Dual Wield, and Archaeology were the important ones- you just buffed your counter super-high by getting as many artifacts to the museum as possible.
The gems from piracy gave you enough money.

Free DLC announcement! You Have to Name the Expansion Pack.

I thought I was clicking on a link in order to throw in suggestions for naming the expansion pack.

Don’t the forget Battle geology skill!

Available today (I hope)

You know you want more Dredmor. Late in the night, the game calls to you. The lights on your computer blink, intermittently, in a repeating pattern. You hear a tapping from within your monitor casing. The Dungeons of Dredmor want you back. You were meant for each other.

In celebration of its Steam Workshop support and mod support, Gaslamp Games has teamed up with bold Dwarven Fanlords from the Modding Community to bring you a new expansion pack for Dungeons of Dredmor. Featuring a swarm of new items, enemies, rooms, skills, and things to generally make your life Better and/or More Full of Death, this completely free expansion takes Dredmor, makes it better, and lures you back to your computer with its siren song. Just one more game wouldn’t hurt, would it? And it’s free. The first one’s always free.

The only catch? We couldn’t think of a good title, so we left you some work to do before you start playing.

That’s right. You Have To Name The Expansion Pack.

And also the Workshop

Dungeons of Dredmor Workshop Now Available!

The time to create and use all new horrifying traps, dazzling spells, and weapons of diabolical ferocity is upon us: the Dungeons of Dredmor Steam Workshop is now open for business.

Create and share all new monsters, items, skills, spells and dungeon rooms! Ever wanted an acid fireball? How about a skill that summons Diggle mages? A staff that explodes when you throw it and turns everyone who it kills into zombies? Easy. A trap that can only be disarmed by feeding it 10 gallons of Slivovitz plum brandy? A magical pear that summons a magical orange that summons a magical apple that summons the original magical pear? That’s more like it.

The Steam Workshop makes it easy to find, play, and share quality custom content created by other fans. Simply head over to the Steam Workshop page, find a mod that you would like to play, and hit “Subscribe”. The mod will be downloaded to just the right spot, and upon loading Dredmor you simply hit the “Mod” button on the launcher and pick which ones you want to load.

Or, if you want to try your hand at your own creations, head over to Dredmod.com and take a look at some tutorials on how to craft your own! We’ve included information on how to make and upload a mod, as well as some of the code that you can use to create completely unique content.

And while you’re at it, check out the brand new DLC we launched today - it’s totally free, and full of some of our all-time favorite fan-made content!

If you needed more reason to get excited about Dungeons of Dredmor, you can pick it up for a steal at 70% off when you buy before June 11th.

Eggsellent!

The best part is the system requirements on the expansion page.

“Do not install game in any computer haunted by the vengeful spirit of Steve Jobs. It still walks the earth, thirsting for blood.”

(The free DLC download button actually exists in Steam now. Go for it.)

On sale at steam for $1.50, $0.90 for the expansion (the first one, not this new free one, obviously).

Why wasn’t I told there was an expansion for this?! Grabbing it as soon as I get home!

Is the interface less tedious now?
