What are the projections on an iPad version?
This game is so perfect for my time right now. Working on the Frop Bog, deck, pond, I get to come in and whack some Diggles, Moustachioed monsters, and golems to chill out after destroying my body during the day. Can’t wait for the pocket dimension for my ultra-hoarding, smithing, tinkerer dude.

Just lost my best character ever because i foolishly opened a chest of evil. and then didn’t run away like i could have.
Sorry to hear that. My current character seems unkillable. Veganism, Swords, Dual Weapons, Burglary, Perception and the Fungal Artsv
Take FA to 2nd level for the pet, then Max Vegan. Then max Swords and Dual W.

I think the Fungal power (where you grow shrooms) has got to be one of the best abilities in the game. It makes the game quite easy. You have all the food you could want, mana pots, and invisibility with a number of other things of various use.

Ed Solomon: what do you use as the 7th power?
I haven’t figured out how to actually grow the shrooms yet.
My kickass character that died went:
Unarmed, Burglary, Master of Arms, Shield, Assassinate, Smithing (that was a mistake), and Berserker. Unarmed 3, Burglary 3, Unarmed max, Burg Max, then MoA max. unkillable – IF YOU REMEMBER TO RUN AWAY, DUMBASS.
My recollection is that it is highly click-intensive (growing, sorting, readying, using). I haven’t used it in a while, though. So far, Werediggle is my favorite.
When you use the skill it puts spores in your backpack (one spore per level of the skill). You can drop spores on dead bodies of monsters or the occasional patch of bare dirt on the floor and a mushroom will grow a few turns later, consuming the body. The one thing you have to remember is that if there is a stack of dead bodies you have to drop a spore on the top one, wait for the mushroom to appear, and then drop a spore on the next body. If you drop four spore on a stack of four bodies they’ll all just get used up by the top body and the three extra spores will disappear.
The arc of crafting’s power is kind of funny. In the initial release people were kind of iffy on how good it was since most of the things you start with the recipes for make the early game easier, but are outclassed by level 4 or 5 of the dungeon. Then everyone realised that the fact you could craft whatever you wanted without actually having the recipe for it on your character made it overpowered as soon as you found the materials to make the superitems. After the expansion they revamped the interface to make it friendlier and removed the ability to make stuff you didn’t have the recipes for. Now it’s kind of underpowered again because the randomness and rarity means you’re unlikely to find any useful recipes for your character. Also if you don’t do crafting you can sell/lutefisk all the materials.

Ah … about the fungal arts skill: We changed it so that it auto-spores a percentage of corpses in the course of your normal melee attacks. These will then grow mushrooms in a few turns. You may indeed occasionally still find the spore item which you can then use on corpses or dirt as you like. In short, it’s a lot less click intensive now.

How does it work for ranged and magic users? No stacks of spores anymore? I have not played in a long time.
Damn. Forgot to include Dodge. Forget my leveling order. You’ll want include Knightly Leap before you max Veganism.

Yeah, they’ll have to work a bit harder for their fungus. Tying it to melee was the way we could make it take the least amount of extra clicks, but it does indeed require melee.
Well that’s a crazy huge change since I used that skill last! Does it work with werediggles? I remember it’s kind of random which things work in diggle form.
Haha- Curses! I’m so stupid I didn’t re-check my “super-items” and was wondering why some of my stats had gone negative. Apparently there are some monsters than can curse your armor? Which ones do that? Can they do it at range too, or only by touch? I’m on level 8 and my supreme armor has like negative 7 across them - lol.
I can only think of magic golems and corruption blobs, off the top of my head. Both melee only.

Hmm, I’d discounted them and thought it was the blue magic dragons. WIll have to keep a keen eye out for all 3 of those buggers.
I think it’s pretty much anything with the words “magic” or “corruption” in the name. That includes magic dragons and corruption traps.
dbaum, any chance this will get released before the heat-wave ends? Being stuck inside I desperately need the pocket universe :)

Tell you what - we got a set date for the Wizardlands launch just a few days ago so we’ll go ahead and announce what it actually is tomorrow.
:D
Woohoo! Looking forward to it. I’m sure a lot of fans will be happy to have a date :)
