Dynasty Warriors + Link. Never quite clicked with this odd little sub-genre.
In the korean war the usa jets did not included mele weapons (sorry, I mean short distance guns, like autoguns). The trough was that missiles made these short distance weapons obsolete. They found they where wrong, since often the usa jets where out of missiles and the koreans managed to get on melee distance and fire his weapons. The militar conclusion is that you want your rifle to be good at distance, but you still want a bayonetta for when the enemy gets too close for confort.
