I’ll drink. Wherever. As long as it’s not at Bad Boy Bail Bonds (which was across the street from our hotel last year… with the fine slogan of “Because your mama wants you home.”
Greetings:
I’ll be working the Ubisoft booth at the show if people want to drop by. The idea of getting drinks/dinner with the Qt3 folks sounds great, but I have an almost pathological anxiety about LA, so I’d need someone to play guide.
Michael.
Hey Michael, were you among the batch of Ubi guys that stayed at the New Otani last year?
“Musso & Frank’s is kinda nice. Very old-timey Hollywoody. It’s up in (appropriately) Hollywood, though, which is a ways from downtown.”
You guys could hop on the train right outside the convention center and 15-20 min. later you’ll be in hollywood (not very far but you have to switch trains).
Read the signs though, or you’ll end up in korea town. Way way cheaper than a cab though, and sorta quicker.
T minus 7, so I’m resurrecting this old thread:
Who’s interested? The most firm plan at this moment is hitting the GameSpot party from 6-9, then hooking up for the 1st Annual Qt3 E3 GTG at “Casey’s” from 9-they throw us out.
Let’s get an idea of who and how many, so Supertanker’s assistant can book us some space.
Anyone?
I should be able to get there. Going to the GameSpot party. As long as I can find someone to move out from there, I’m in.
Doh. Not gonna be down there on Wednesday. Oh well. :?
Flying out of LAX on wed night around 7ish, so no-go for me :/
I’m up for it, no doubt. my email is in the little linky bar below.
I’m in. But I swear if you bastards make me show up…only to have it switched without letting us know, you’re ALL gonna PAY! :D
As for communication, I think we need some sort of central hub so that interested parties can just call in and check the latest - because not everyone has a PDA or laptop to check emails.
I have a cell phone with roaming and two different phone numbers. Though it would be a long distance phone call, I could set it up so that anyone can call that number and check the messages etc etc.
OR, we could just use someone’s local hotel messaging service as the comms hub. I’m at the Wilshire Grand (courtesy of Dreamcatcher), so, once again, we can overwork the hotel switchboard on my behalf. I mean, they blame everything else on me anyway, so this is a really small thing. :D
(sorry, sorry - had Poser open and was in a silly mood ;-))
That’s so wrong.
