Ebook Bargains

Thanks, I picked it up.

Thanks as well, I would not have seen this one.

I listened to the Audible version, would recommend. Not all chapters are equal (the one on Witcher 3 was oddly dull), but overall a solid book with neat insider info. The chapter on Star Wars 1313 is kind of haunting now, knowing how Visceral ended up.

Naomi Novik’s Uprooted is on ale today for $3.

I don’t remember how it got on my wish list. I was probably reading a piece about the Nebula awards.

Looks fun. Bought!

Ohhh, love Novik, thank you. Need to finish the Temerarie series too.

Another item from my wishlist went on sale today. Stanislaw Lem’s A Perfect Vacuum is on sale for $2.

Thanks for that! Love the concept; bought!

If youre interested in classics, Amazon has a selection of older books free for the Kindle. Im sure these are all available for free elsewhere but this is convenient for kindle owners. There are ebooks from Verne, AC Doyle, HG Wells as well as Plato and Nietzsche, just to mention a few. Heres the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=n%3A133140011%2Cn%3A!133141011%2Cn%3A154606011%2Cp_28%3AAmazonClassics&sort=date-desc-rank&ie=UTF8&qid=1514506466

For some reason the link does not work but if I copy and paste it into the address bar it does?

Kindle version of Stranger in a Strange Land for $1.99 today. Note that it is the “published” version–the version Heinlein wrote and then edited himself for publication in 1961. It is NOT the later version Virginia Heinlein released after his death, which is almost twice as long, but which RAH apparently thought was too long and needed editing.

Oh geez. I wonder which one I read. Do you know what the differences are?

Humble has an Attack on Titan bundle with a bunch of ebook versions of the manga.

Definitely going to buy this tomorrow:

This is Dan from Giant Bomb. Book is supposed to be great.

Thanks for the recommendation. I love these kind of books. So now I’m reading this and Sled Driver.

I may be extremely late to the party on this one but apparently M.R. Carey, who wrote The Girl with All the Gifts, has another book set in the same world called The Boy on the Bridge. Don’t know if it’s any good but the kindle version is on sale at Amazon for $2.99 today.
