Not to spam up the thread, but my own novel The Mortality in Lies is on sale in the UK and US Kindle stores for £.99 and $.99 respectively. It’s a historical suspense thriller, a spy book, and a tale of love, betrayal, disillusionment and redemption, A few forum denizens have read and enjoyed it, so maybe there is some interest, and the price is great.

It was recently featured in the Historical Novel Society review, here:

The book is here:

Thanks, Scott. I just checked it out yesterday with Kindle Unlimited, but I assume you get a few more pennies with the purchase, so I appreciate the heads up about the price.

Thank you! I’m not really trying to make money on it. I just want people to read it!

Hmm, it depends, how many pages is it…?

(Only teasing, I’ve bought it already! Congrats on the nice review as well btw)

Thanks. At $.99 for 392 pages, it’s a bargain!

I’ll give it a shot. It is well reviewed on Amazon, so most who have purchased it have enjoyed it. And on the plus side if I have issues with it I can come back here and shred the author! Just kidding, of course. Its great that you got your book out there. I look forward to reading it.

Thanks, I hope you enjoy it. If not, feel free to shout at me.

Bought. The premise sounds interesting, and no one on Amazon is complaining about the quality of the writing. Thanks for letting us know.

Just threw you my .99, Scott. Not sure how much of that, if any, you get, but if you buy it you get the bonus of seeing a picture of Scott!

Lol! Thanks @Shimarenda and @BennyProfane!

For those who wanted to read Harper Lee’s Go set a Watchman, it’s the lowest I’ve seen it ever ($6.99):

I paid double that for it last year, @scottagibson ! But thanks for the reminder – it’s been in my backlog and I just sent it to my Kindle, so you’re next in line after I finish The Relentless Moon! Also just bought copies for my girlfriend and my Mom since it’s such a cheap gift. :)

Thanks, @Editer, hope you enjoy!

That’s awesome, congrats!

I picked it up too. Least I could for a fellow Qt3er.

Thanks @Bernie_Dy, hope you enjoy it!

@scottagibson also picked it up, looking forward to trying it! (PS, getting an error when I click on the review).

And I hope no one minds if I sheepishly pimp my own novel, a smaller bargain at $1.99 – a steampunk baseball adventure (and thus only read by that small subset of people who like both steampunk and baseball! Currently I’m struggling writing the sequel.

Hey, that looks kinda fun!

Looks like the Historical Novel Society web site is down.

Bought, @tylertoo!

Hey, I bought two books today even though Scott’s was no longer on sale so I paid through the nose for it (i.e., $1.99). My wife has written some novels so I know the hard work involved in writing.
