I think I stuck my head in there and moved on. Too many curse frogs in the area.

I don’t have the Intelligence to use it as this is my sword guy.

Get some distance and perform jump attacks. The invader AI can’t quite grok how to handle jump attacks in my opinion.

Worst comes to worst - start the game in offline mode and the Jar’s summons will be generic builds rather than overpowered dopplegangers from real opponents.

Have you tried going offline? When I did that I got some vanilla possibly default builds that weren’t some insane player meta. My dozen tries before that was just absolute horribad where either the first or second guy was an insane blood build or some sort of uber moonveil variant.

I may do that. Would be nice to find a way to be more competitive against the player builds. I can usually get one, maybe yep. But then I’m all out if heals and mana for the third.

So that cave in the Radahn area: A whole bunch of ghosts in there, right? And this badass group of soldiers that were so strong, and bow user that’s so strong. And at the end of the dungeon I got both!

Woohoo! So I use my Ghost upgrade item and my plain grave upgrade item to level both of them up as far as I can (which is farther than I ever could before I went there).

And it turns out, the soldiers I leveled up? They weren’t the super strong ones in that dungeon. They were the weak canon fodder ones that died really easily in that dungeon. Phooey.

At least the badass bow user has to be strong right? Nope. He does almost no damage to the Godskin Apostle. Like, 100 damage with his strongest shot. The Godskin Apostle doesn’t even bother killing the bow user. Drink that in for a second. He does so little damage, the boss ignores him completely. Even the freaking jellyfish grabs his attention for a while, though he makes quick work of the jellyfish by killing it fast. But the archer? Nope, not even worth his attention.

Well, it’s kinda stacked against you. They only need to get lucky once, you need to get lucky three times. I gave up because that trinket is really one of the better ones.

I think I used one of the big Knight fellas for the Godskin guy. I didn’t have my mimic then and he laughed at the wolves.

The boss in that Radahn cave drops a big Knight spirit, although I haven’t used it yet.

Igor the duel blade guy. Forgot his name lol. That’s who I used there.

+14 way too low. You gotta pump those numbers up!!

I can’t tell if you’re being serious or joking lolol

Serious! You don’t start getting a good return on weapon upgrades until +15. For Caelid you want to be in the +15-20 range otherwise it’s just making it too difficult.

I think that it may only be accessible from the area above the waterfall which you may be gated by something - I don’t know what because I could not get up there when I was in Deeproot Depths and never got around to following up on it. Since you’ve done the rest of Deeproot Depths you may want to read the spoilers at the Fextralife ER wiki - those tend to be pretty complete and understandable.

I think that area is above the waterfalls, below where you eventually meet up with Fia again.

Berdahl invasion complete. What a crap fight, such a cheater. Had to resort to the champions blade. I can complete my journey to NG+ in peace now.

I went back there for the shiny and then again for Bernahl’s fight, to get his drops. Isn’t it amazing how boss and NPC weapons are always more kick ass when they use them against you.

I should take out two bad ass dragons before going to NG+, but I hate fighting dragons. Never did beat Midir or the one in the DS1 dlc.

I killed the big dragon in Caelid - I read somewhere that it’s a massive fight so I psyched myself up, used up all my runes, organized my gear and… nothing! It just lay there as I whacked away. 75k runes though is not bad.

Awww you’re so nice! I was feeling like a big bag of suck and now I don’t feel so bad hehe. I thought going to +11 was possibly overkill as I had no idea what people actually upgrade their weapons to.

Eventually to +25. Don’t be afraid to level up your weapon.

I’m having trouble deciding what to use my precious stones for above +11 as I don’t know which of the million daggers, swords, axes, pikes, claws, hammers, katanas, maces and halberds I want to stick with lol.
