Jesus Christ, no one can stay alive against this guy.

Be a better summon Kolbex!

Theres another drop down back into the manor also, toward severus’s tower, no jars on that one but its more interesting to find in earlier, rather then later.

As politely and graciously as possible, fuck you!

Kidding, but man, people just cannot stay away from his huge fire blast. Get away from it! There’s nothing as a summon I can do about that, nor the absolutely gigantic range of his sweeps. From a multiplayer perspective I hate this guy. The second stage, no matter where he was in his huge arena he teleports to a specific spot and grabs the host to that spot but NOT me or Alexander, if they summoned him. So we have to hoof it all the way across, meanwhile he’s spamming his big fire blast that kills people like flies.

And just now I had ANOTHER fight going good, had him down to 25% and connection error AGAIN. I’m so fucking sick of this. I’m done for now.

I followed the guide and my heart sunk when there was just a pot sized hole in the ground where he was supposed to be - luckily I found him in the next, more obscure, spot.

Is Alexander a jar?

Very much so!

He’s also a pain in the ass in the Radahn fight. Takes up a huge amount of screen space.

(S)he’s a jar
With a heavy lid
My pop quiz kid
A sleepy kisser
A pretty war
With feelings hid
She begs me not to miss her

For rune farms my go tos are:

The five giants by the war masters shack as soon as one can kill them reliably. Very early way to score 5k runes every few minutes.

For mid game I don’t think anything beats the crow farm. Easily looked up on you tube. The setup is a bit elaborate but after you get the site of grace its 11k maybe 3 or 4 times a minute. 13k if you use the golden (?) scarab. Also an elaborate get.

That dragon was too touchy for me too. Managed maybe 3 times and then was too late back to grace so that party was over.

Don’t even get me started on the ball farm…

The real advantage to having a way to quickly far runes isn’t necessarily to get OP but just a safety net to not be scared to lose runes and freely explore and take on dungeons and bosses.

Ah, Alexander. I ran through the Gael tunnel and mobs followed me all the way out to where Alex was. In the ensuing fracas, Alex got hit and turned hostile. I’m afraid I killed him.

Be advised, if you do this with Alex, or ANY NPC, you can get it all fixed up at the Church with the turtle pope.

Even if you killed them?

Pretty sure it brings them back to life.

I think you can murder all the merchants, get their bell bearings, and then bring them back to life like nothing happened but then be able to buy all their stuff from a single central location in the rountable hold.

Diabolical!

I have so many lore questions, still.

Spoilers for those who have yet to get a great rune and travel to the R- T-:

What’s up with the fingers? Whose fingers are they? Marika’s? Hewg has the omen curse, yeah?

Spoilers for those who haven’t visited the capital and found the back entrance to the Fortified Manor:

Why is there an empty Roundtable Hold with items that correspond to the people in the one we visit? Is the one we go to a kind of ā€œremembranceā€?

I don’t really know who this might spoil so I’m not even going to blur it:
What is the Omen curse? Where did it come from?

Spoilers for those who have not been a ways past the Valiant Gargoyle:

So Godwyn was killed and buried at the root of the tree, presumably in Deeproot Depths where you see what looks like the same big face in Stormveil on a…thing. It looks kind of like a snake at the bottom. Is that significant? Hewg looks like he’s turning into a lizard, although none of the other Omen’d enemies seem to have this aspect to them. Why does death manifest as thorned branches? Did Godwyn’s body somehow infect the tree with death? Way up above I asked about the stuff moving under his skin after he’s killed in the trailer. Presumably it’s these thorny branches, yeah?

This. and saves me literal hours farming trolls.

To farm the sleeping dragon:

  1. Stay on your mount, use a weapon with innate bleed on it (like the uchi) and put frost on it, you’ll get both procs and kill him pretty fast. You want to be able to take off the second he does his death lurch so you beat the reward showing up.

  2. If you look at the dragon coming from the grace, there are 2 mounds, if you stand on that first mound right up against him on your horse, you won’t move, and you won’t miss any attacks. Once you get it down you can kill him in about 1:30. 50k every couple minutes is pretty handy, regardless of what stage of the game you’re in.

  1. I have zero remorse about killing this guy over and over and farming ruins, or telling others about. I feel no shame in any possible advantage I can give myself in this game :P.

Med/High end Mages -

What armor are you using? I have tons of armor options, but am confused on what best serves my needs. What do you all use?

Iv watched some lore videos on youtube, and they have gleened a lot from item descriptions. Its really interesting, and it helped me enjoy the game more to know what happened in the pasy, and done insight on enemys motives. Its also really sucks that so many important characters have very simular names.

Armor! I equip my best looking hat, sword, shield and staff. Then I equip a robe i like the look of, then the heaviest legs and gloves i can equip while staying in medium load. Or haslows armor us nice…if theres a rot or poison lake to go thru i throw on the mushroom set.

I dont have the endurance, but some guys really push for over 50 poise.
