I believe it’s a checklist, you have to mark found items manually.

Thanks. I will not bother with it then. I just hate registering for various sites, because it always ends up getting me more junk mail.

I also couldn’t really find a way to use it without spoiling the whole map, instead of discovering it organically.

Added all those, thanks

I can’t believe I’m 80 hours into this game now and I never found the Warmaster shack with the No Parry ash. I also somehow completely missed Castle Stormveil and went right to Raya Lucaria, so maybe I am just unobservant.

There’s a boss later that is incredibly hard, and Jelly totally poisoned it for me. I just kited it around taking pot shots and being patient while it bled out. Jellyfish is bae.

that is impressive

This is amazing.

I hate being locked into the weapon upgrades and not knowing whether something is really going to be worth using. There is so much stuff I want to try, but this upgrade system is so limiting. By the time the high level stones are buyable or farmable, my main gear will already be maxed and the game will be nearly over.

If it’s any consolation, these NPC invader encounters will usually give you some nice loot :)

Spoiler for mid-20+ farming location that is a bit hidden: There’s a teleport location near the 3rd Church of Marika, hidden in the bushes along a cliff face to the north of it. that takes you up to the northeast corner of the map. There are some little black dudes walking around all over the place up there. They are easily backstabbed, then stunned and beaten down (though if they get a hit in, they hit really hard.) They net about 1000 runes each. A few minutes work there can net you 10,000 runes easy.

I’m running SEEKERS too. Note: every time someone in the group makes it to lord, you get an item discovery buff for a couple of minutes. It happens constantly in that group, and their signs are almost always useful.

Bosses have aggro like a MMO mob. They will attack you if you’re doing lots of damage to them. Back off for a bit and they’ll reacquire your summons.

I feel like that location is inferior to the trolls because the vulgar militia hit hard and don’t hardly give any more runes than the trolls do, plus they’re pretty spread out. I’m not grinding for levels but when I want to upgrade a weapon I’ll pop over there to get some smithing stone money. Kind of amazing that there are basically no good grind spots in this game as far as my googling has revealed aside from these two, and they’re not very good compared to spots in previous games.

I spent yesterday painstakingly exploring every nook and cranny of Stormveil. Still a couple of big baddies there that I haven’t taken down (the Crucible Knight and the big salamander dude), but I think I got to the rest of it. This morning before work I went out did a couple of the locations in Limgrave that I hadn’t finished yet then made a couple of runs at Godrick, and to my surprise took him down on the second try with just the NPC summons and my jellyfish helping.

Be advised, something that many folks don’t realize is that even within dungeons like Stormveil, things like bosses can change depending on time of day.

So if you go there at night, for instance, you may run into new fog-walled boss encounters, even in locations where you’ve been before during the day.

What.

And just further on from there is the boulder farm.

So the only safe way to see everything in an area is that if you notice it’s no longer nighttime, you go to a site of grace and advance the time to night again?

Or are there daytime exclusive enemies too?

Yep. I found this out from a buddy who thought he had cleared most of Stormveil, went back to check out some different area, and encountered a new boss in a region he had already been to, that only spawned because it was night time.

I honestly don’t know… There’s a lot of stuff that I don’t think anyone knows about the game yet. There is a lot of crap in there.

I think maybe it’s just a case of “don’t worry about it” and just enjoy what you see, because no matter what you’re gonna be faced with infinity content.

I have a feeling players will be finding crazy/hidden stuff for years to come, just on the fact that time of day means something by itself (but also hidden areas and the like the Souls games are known for). There was a hidden door in Demon’s Souls Remaster that took like 6 months for someone to crack and get into, or something like that, iirc.

Do you know which boss it was? Or where?

I do not, I specifically didn’t ask for details. I’m kind of tempted to get more info, but I KNOW there’s a section I haven’t gotten to yet, because I can see the platform but haven’t found a path there, so I may just go back and check it out myself some more, and specifically do it at night.
