If you’re using a controller R1 swings right and L1 swings left. If you’re using a mouse, because of how the keymapping works, it’s reversed; left click would usually be your main attack, which is your right hand.

There’s an NPC quest that makes this fight much easier.

Funny enough, I did have the quest and I did not piece together that this was the guy he was looking for until afterward when he showed up. You’re saying I could have summoned him to help? Oy vey. :-)

Get a 20-something son who games all night long to coach you. Thank me later.

I’m watching someone who’s much better than I at exploring play this alongside my game and I just stop whenever she reaches an area I haven’t found yet. It’s demoralizing to me how many times I’ve missed a path or item in this game.

Heck, I missed a massive boss door yesterday. Exploration is my favorite part of games, but apparently nowhere near my strong suit.

Congrats! I just finished and it must have taken me 100 tries on that final battle. You’ll probably be more efficient than I was! I’m guessing I was level 120+. I’m jealous that you get to play the new Horizon :-) I guess I could on the PS4, but I think I want to experience it the best way I can so hopefully there will be a PS port. I don’t plan on getting a PS5 as I just don’t use consoles that much.

I played the entire game offline, after the first 30 minutes or so, and just used my personal summons.

I’m trying to decide if I should jump to new game+. I kinda want to raise up this characters strength so I can use some of those big shields. I had been mostly increasing Dex and using the Bloodfang sword. I didn’t really appreciate the special L2 attack until the end and it really helped in the final battle.

Part of me also wants to try a build I typically don’t play, using some kind of spells. It seemed like there were a ton of weapons that scaled off of different attributes too that could be fun.

It is a great game. I don’t think it will have as big an impact on the second time through since so much of the goodness came from finding things. Luckily my memory is horrible and I’ll forget half of it :-)

I stuck with it the entire game once I got it, which seemed pretty early on if I remember right.

So, played about 3 hours today, levelled up twice, and then had another7000 runes in the bank,. I was really getting into my flow, smashing those Arab looking mercenaries on horseback, finally cleared the entire Storm Gate Ruins by killing everything on horseback except the Knight with the Spear - him I used unsheathe on.

And then…the game just froze, and then crashed. i wonder if my 7000 runes are gone…

I have exactly this, and he failed to pass it along. He’ll get a talking to!

… and I did this too. Bah. My information source is really slacking on me.

Oh crap, I forgot to cash in my 500K runes before starting new game+.

Just want to say “thanks” for the Multiplayer password suggestions. I had turned the online option off after my first couple of hours it just annoyed. But now I’m using the “qt3” (still haven’t seen anyone’s) and SEEKERS (see a lot of them) and the usefulness can be profound at times.

I still wish there were not quite so many sometimes in a cramped area; oh well.

What are the other ones that people like? I saw FEXTRA mentioned, think I’ll add it. And they’re case-sensitive? And “we” are definitely going with “qt3” all lower-case?

New Game + starts off pretty easy. I wonder if I should just start a new character. Maybe play online too.

I’m starting to feel like multiplayer is still pretty broken. I just had myself summoned four times for a very hard fight, and of those four, one ended in yet another connection error and one couldn’t be done at all because the boss just sat on top of a cliff and screamed at us and wouldn’t come down (one was a victory and one we both died).

So what happened with the runes?

That very well might be, I also only discovered today that there’s another boss arena there, and also thought it was tied to story progress (I got it after I exhausted the witchhunter’s lines. He only appears after Radhan is dead.

That’s what I’m going with, and I have seen one interaction with it thus far so there are others out there.

Single players without using an item to invite an invasion cannot be invaded in this game. So if you are playing single all your invaders will be NPCs.

I have seen real invaders, 4 times so far. While helping other players. 3 of the four got destroyed, but one guy killed the other cooperater and the host. He was good.

Just to make sure I did this right for mp, I put in exactly what the screenshot further u had with seeker etc etc and qt3 in the 5 listings but nothing in the password field above them. Was that right?

They should carry over. They did in the other games.

I have not been getting the connection error but I do get crashes upon being summoned sometimes.

Yes…that is right.
