I looked at fextralife’s guide, but only for Limgrave.
And occasionally I’ll look up something, like how to beat a particular boss.

No, for the group passwords it just prioritizes them. Presumably summoning is limited by level and weapon upgrade ranges, similar to DS3, as described by the summoning range calculator.
You could try the summoning pool (use the Small Golden Effigy), but you’re likely to waste time more often instead of only getting bossfights.

yes, wtf, FROM. I think they nerfed the rats drop rate. I was pre-patch for the last 2 weeks, today I finally updated to the current patch. And I could not farm a single arc rune, a gold rune[1] at most.
I used 5 item discovery fingers, and nothing improved. I was like 14 arcane. I banked 8 rune arcs. Dammit, now I have to buy them or go online (but I don’t have ps+ at the moment). If I knew, I would have farmed more…
There’s so much loot in this game that’s meant for high strength or high faith characters. It’s kind of a relief actually, to find those.
“Ah good, I don’t have to mess with these”. Of course, I don’t actually sell them. I keep everything, because of training from previous Souls games where you couldn’t sell anything. Honestly I should have a fire sale one of these days. Just go to my favorite vendor and sell him all my high strength and high faith junk.
I must not have a pulse because the PC version has been pretty great for 100+ hours so far

Sometimes getting summoned depends on the time of day and day of the week. I heard a YouTuber say that he did his invasion videos in the early afternoon east coast time because that is when he got the most action.
I have noticed the boss I use things seem to have slowed down. People who started when we did may just be past the early bosses.

I am pretty happy with the games performance on my under qualifying PC. The few problems I have had seem to occur on a one day basis, not something that happens all the time . That makes me think the problems are with the game servers.
Huh, I still get constant stuttering. During boss fights I just keep in mind where the boss actually is instead of what it’s showing me on the screen during the stutter, and it hasn’t affected me too much as a result. A lot of the game is played in your head anyway as you try to predict when and which attack is coming, and you either block, dodge or sidestep as a result. The difference isn’t that big during a stutter, you just can’t see it happen, you see the end result after the stutter is over. So it’s not THAT different.

Ya…some Samsung Qled model. Not sure which. Q70a I think. Could be network issues? I dunno…I’m like Matt_W, I just never see issues or really care much unless they are really bad. I’m easy to pleasy.

Every once in a while I get a kind of dragging effect, but it’s never happened in a boss, just in areas where I can tell lots of stuff is loading in all at once.
Do you have Intel? Maybe the game doesn’t like my AMD. Maybe single thread performance is more important in this one. I have a Ryzen 5600X.

I do have Intel, a, uh, venerable i5-2500k.
No stuttering for me. I have had two crashes (early on, pre-patch), and a small handful of times the game has minimized itself. Thankfully, never in a boss fight.

If you’re getting freezes approaching 1 second or longer, that’s not the buggy FPS-cap stutter or loading issues. It could be the game re-scanning for device changes. Read these threads: Possible work-around for some micro-freezes/stutters on PC : Eldenring and PSA: Fix for double freezing issue : Eldenring
AFAIK, there aren’t any AMD-specific Elden Ring issues. I have a 5900x, and the game is not remotely CPU demanding. BUT, if you have the Zen 3 chipset USB disconnect problem, maybe that could trigger this device-scan freezing. I’ve had non-crash freezes in Elden Ring a handful of times in 200+ hours played (on 1+ year old motherboard firmware that’s not perfectly stable).
Ha! The solution is worse than the problem in this case. I’m not going to uninstall all my Xbox app games. That’s like 95% of the games I have installed on my machine.
I have noticed that I have my xbox 360 wireless receiver thing plugged into the back of my machine for some reason, so I’ll disconnect that and see if I see any improvement.

I have AMD Ryzen.
Some of my early problems, I think, was my machine trying to do stuff in the background. I have disabled a few things.

Jesus where are you finding all the high faith weapons? All I find are high strength and intelligence weapons. And I am playing a Dex/faith guy. The only valuable faith weapon I found was the scythe in the weeping peninsula. And you can find that in the first 20 or so hours. I’m 100 hours in and I think I found four or so faith scaling weapons? There is a halfway decent looking great sword in Caelid which I just barely missed the strength requirement for - but it’s also like 18 pounds and I would have to pump up endurance quite a bit make it reasonable.

Seemed like Lunaria was STR/INT Mecca – is there an equivalent for Faith weapons and spells?

How big is this game? I am 60 hrs in, and killed one main boss so far. Level 55. I remember there was a preview interview, and the director said, it’s like 40-60 hrs, and I thought that’s like DS3 size. But this must be a big understatement … on the other hand, if you know what you are doing, you can be sooner done, but why would you want to be done?

Gigantic, although I’ll bet the “cool dungeons” portion is about the same size as DS3 or DS2, maybe, there’s just a lot of overworld in between them.
Well…you might be going slower than average there.
