I mean Matt is saying that he was the invader and was murdered by the people he was invading, which sounds like the opposite of what you’ve said. I can’t believe they don’t just always scale invaders and partners to match each other. Like a BoP race but for fighting instead of cars.

These have… actually made me chuckle.

If this is like other FROM games it probably won’t be on sale until Christmas. They have always been slow to discount their games.

I’m so glad I tried taking on Margit a few times before watching that. Gold.

I since decided that level 16 wasn’t high enough, and have gone elsewhere.

In one of the DS games, or maybe all, they also had weapon limitations. Leveling up a weapon too far too early would restrict who you could help or invade.

I don’t have a monitor or TV that can take advantage of VRR, but doesn’t sound like there’s an especially compelling reason to go with the PS5 either, so I’ll probably go Xbox too. May not actually start until next weekend, but I’ll give you a shout when I jump in, thanks!

Turns out I was whacking the wrong dragon. It still works.

One of my biggest gripes in this game, is that something as important as arc runes is tied largely to PvP. I absolutely hate the fact that there is no great way to get rune arcs in single player/offline. Having those great arcs active is such a huge and important buff…I wouldn’t mind it being a cash/exp sink to keep it up, but I wish there was another way to effectively farm arc runes.

This is not true at all. I’ve played mostly offline, and I’m sitting on a million arc runes.

Rats drop arc runes all the time. Go somewhere with rats, like the sewers, and you’ll get plenty of runes.

Here’s a video of some place some guy found for farming rats.

Story of my life.

You get them from beating a boss in co-op.

I’ve got like 25 and have never co-op’ed a boss. I haven’t even bought any at the vendors who sell them.

I think I’ve used like one rune arc the whole time, too. They’re very much not required.

Ha I’m like 50hrs in and just learnt what rune arcs do. And that was after looking it up because I couldn’t figure it out in game.

Whenever I use a rune arc, I die in the next 5 minutes regardless, either stupidly falling off a cliff or being surrounded and stunlocked by trash mobs I’m running through.

Yea, I have enough that I have sold them. I have never used one.

Are you playing an arcane build that buffs drop rates because at level 125 I’ve gotten exactly 2 rune arcs from rats. I have been keeping careful track as I’ve been hesitant to use them myself and heard that was what to farm for them.

I’ve got about 20 now, mostly from exploration, but I’ve been saving them up as I’ve heard the endgame bosses are much nastier so I figure I’ll want them all there.

Negative, I never added any points to arcane. I think it’s still at the starting value of 9 for me?

I’m constantly sitting on 40+ runes, and all of them have come from drops or bodies.

Rats drop them a lot.

I haven’t farmed rats but I’ve run across a fair few of them in the game and killed every last one. Never got a single rune arc from any of them.

I have got maybe 1-2 from rats. Nothing exceptional.
