Ooh, just all of one stack at a time, sorry.

I know I was touting the Online drum a few days ago and I still stand by playing online as the best way to do it - but I want to give a warning with regards to something that happened to me.

I was carefully dropping down a long, vertical tunnel going ledge to ledge when suddenly the game lost connection to the servers and kicked me back to the main menu for some reason. It wasn’t a huge deal, I went back in offline and loaded up on the ledge from a few seconds ago, but if I’d been in a huge fight when that happend I’d have been pretty annoyed. Anyway, if you lose connection (or if their servers go down, or Steam or PSN or whatever takes a brief shit) you will get disconnected and I don’t imagine that ends well if you are mid-battle.

Gotcha. Yeah, I did know that - what I’m saying is faster is if you have let’s say 4 types of Golden Runes of various tiers, in the sell UI you can just sell one stack at a time without ever leaving that UI, which I think is probably faster than using them even a whole stack at a time (of course, that requires a merchant that buys from you is nearby).

Man I really want to use that as a note tracker, but it looks too spoilery to have open all the time.

ugh, they made it look like an ubisoft game. No, thanks!

dex increases cast speed

But how much?

Same thing happened to me last night at 11pm eastern. They took the servers down for like an hour I guess to do a patch for multiplayer issues. Other than that I’ve never had it happen.

I had an in game warning pop up about an hour before servers were scheduled to go down. Not sure how their warning system usually works though.

Yep, this has been a feature in other Souls games as well. Much easier to sell them for the same amount as you’d get for using them!

And the boss fight is majestic, beautiful. What an amazing zone! (edit to respond to a later question of yours; I won the fight with my bow exclusively.)

I only use it if I’m looking for something specific.

It does, but I can overlook it because it doesn’t play like an Ubisoft game. I couldn’t even finish FC6. First one that I quit before the end.

I was actually aware of this, but this happened to me like right after work, hours before the maintenance window. Took me by surprise.

They are useful as they are in any Souls game, pulling mobs, whittling down mobs in awkward positions. You know all this. I have been able to win some boss fights with them. There are talismans that boost them (marginally), but they would be overpowered if they hit as hard as melee. (That, you also know.)

As a poison delivery system, they are unparalleled, of course.

I guess, as, again, in any Souls game, they are not strong enough to build around (as far as I can tell) but are absolutely valuable in any build.

At least for me I think they really nailed the gameplay balance. As long as you aren’t in an area way over your level I have felt challenged without going insane. This seems better balanced than previous games to me. Especially the boss fights where I haven’t felt any of them are impossible.

You can cheese all the tree forest mini bosses. At least the few I’ve tried are all easy to beat by riding in a circle and using a bow. That’s really the only boss I’ve been able to super cheese. Another mini boss I did get trapped in a corner with my group of monkey warriors. It’s was pretty hilarious, but I consider that master planning not cheesing. :) He just couldn’t get out of the corner.

I have run into a problem where it’s really hard to find other players to help you. This may be an xbox thing, but there’s barely any signs and they get gobbled up super quick. Meh. I did switch to performance mode on the series s and it does still dip a bit in certain areas, but I’d say 99.9999 % it’s fine and I don’t even think about it. Which is awesome. Glad I’m not dealing with stuttering issues like on the PC. (I will totally buy it again on the pc at some point.)

For example, I stumbled into a new area last night. There was a big staircase and 2 dudes that looked like the Burger King standing on top. On the stairs were literally like 20 bloodstains. That tipped me off that the BK bros were gonna pull some bullshit. Sure enough, they did.

Interesting, thanks. I checked it out and most of them are clustered around caves and catacombs, but this will help me find the one or two spots to do open world co-op, then put my sign down there. It’s still inefficient because that requires me to be in the area waiting for someone to summon me. The idea is good (put yourself into the pool for random co-op while you go explore elsewhere) but the execution hasn’t worked for me in practice.

That’s this helmet, right? That’s pretty cool.

Yes I know how bows work and what their uses are, my question was more along the lines of if they are powerful enough this time around to be comparable to magic, damage wise. Some sections of the game are extremely melee unfriendly and I’d like to have some sort of backup if I start a non-magic character.

Since you seem to have taken down a boss with it I guess they should be on the level - what kind of damage per shot were you doing on average?
