Ah, that’s too bad. But thanks!

After exploring almost all of the lower areas of the map, even going into the dark area to the east, I returned to try to get into Stormveil Castle today, managed to flank the ballista and then proceeded to beat the boss on my third try. I am a lvl 28 Vagabond with a +2 greatsword.

This boss was what I would consider the first real boss I have faced, well, the Tree Sentinel kicked my ass over and over but he was optional, and so I have now beat 6-7 bosses.

A question…The graveyards have seemingly ever spawning enemies. Is there something I am missing or is that just how they are doing it in this game?

The skeletons?

You need to hit them once after they “die”. While the bones are on the ground. Otherwise they will get back up.

That’s it?

Thanks

That is indeed it. I waited to tackle a little skeleton cave I found until I could wield the weapon I got from the Tree Sentinel way back in the very beginning of the game because it has holy, only to discover any old weapon will do.

Oh, geez! I spent so much time trying to track down a holy weapon after the first time I saw them get back up. Good to know. I can free up that equipment slot now

Or use a holy infused weapon, but those are a lot harder to come by.

And I don’t even mean “a weapon that does holy damage” I mean “weapon literally is glowing with holy energy”.

Haven’t seen one of those yet! Haven’t seen any incantations that add holy or do holy, either.

I’ve found one weapon that can do it as it’s Ashes and a couple of Ashes of War that can do it if you apply them to things.

One shotting skeletons out of existence is fun, but it’s just easier to beat them on the ground.
It also takes a hell of a lot less FP to keep doing.

Wow, that is…uh…something else, Scott! I can’t tell if I wish the game actually looked that way or not. Probably not. Too…chipper?

Oh well, we’ll always have Fenix Rising!

You can craft items that do “holy” damage. But I have yet to see a holy weapon.

I can’t seem to get my crafted fire pots to work. I target an enemy and when I try to use the fire pot, it just falls to my feet. These are with the fancier version of fire pots with string if that makes a difference.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong (or is this how they’re supposed to work).

They’re pretty short range. Not quite “fall at your feet” short range, but still short range. I’m not sure what you might be doing wrong, but it’s not that you need to make the string pots. The only difference with those is that you “throw” them directly behind you.

Don’t forget that’s through an iPhone lense, it’s not quite so … artificially bright like that in real life. It does look really good with the HDR enabled though, it’s a shame screenshots cannot capture that.

So I just did the stuff in this video and my goodness it was a fun ride, plus I got a bunch new fun stuff. Yay!

OK, jumped in as an Astrologer! Not really reading any guides, just through here, and nothing much here makes any sense to me at this point, LOL!

Jumped down to the tutorial area. Using my Glintsone Pebble pretty much one shots the basic tutorial slow moving zombies, so I switched to my short sword to save FP. That and the small shield and it’s pretty easy to kill the slow zombie guys. I did push it to far when I ran across a guy with a shield and sword, I didn’t pay attention to my HP and I kept hitting the square key by accident and drinking my FP flask and I died. No biggie, made it through again, took out the guy on the overhead ledge with my spell (how do you kill him without a ranged weapon? I suppose you’d just run past?) Disappointed there’s no loot on any of these guys or in any of the boxes etc I break open. Made it to the mist, went through, and used my spells and hitting him with the staff and dodging a lot and killed him.
So - is the only way to get HP back to kill bad guys? Other than the flask. And is the only way to get FP back by drinking from the flask? And I’m really disappointed I killed my first mini-boss and got the “Felled” announcement and no loot from him at all?

Finally killed my first ‘real’ boss. Though I’m not sure it was a boss or mini-boss or whatever. It was the bird thing in the wolf cave. I finally realized I could summon my wolves and it was super easy once I did that. . Damn, this shit is how this game gets its claws into you.

I think you’re not getting anything because it’s the tutorial. You definitely get good rewards from hard fights outside the tutorial.

Hilarious. I unspoilered that and have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, and I’m a fair ways into the game!
