So what do you the FROM guys think real rats are like?

At least rats kind of remind me of rats, albeit rats on Xanax for the most part.

50,000 yen is roughly $500 USD. I don’t think this is an inflation-related pay raise, as Japan has been struggling with deflation. It appears that late 2021-early 2022 inflation in Japan is about 0.5% year-to-year (which is probably making the Bank of Japan very happy, since they’ve been trying to get at least some inflation going for years).

the firepots with strings were in the older games too, I never used them. But the way they work is, you aggro a bunch of enemies, then run away from them dropping the firepots.

I am using a STR 16 greatsword for now, I was DEX warrior, but the 2 sellswords+1 were ok for regular enemies, but not enough stagger for tougher enemies. I think I can handle Tree Sentinel, soon. Instead of dealing 74 damage, I do something like 120 + sometimes I can stagger him. So that’s huge.
Also someone wrote here or elsewhere that smithing stones are rare. I don’t see this. I found several places where I got them, enough to upgrade left hand and right hand sword. Also some underground enemies drop them.
For now, I think I go for a qualitiy build, pushing DEX and STR. Also, why am I not invited to the great hall round table, yet? I watched a playthrough of the early game, the parts I already did, end the maiden invited that guy to the great hall. Why, what have I done or not done?
Don’t tell, I want to find out myself. I thought I was save watching early part streams, but in an openworld game, to much spoilers possible.

Find the meteoric staff and an associated spell, do these after you get your horse:

I’ve found two ashes that will let you convert your weapon to holy. One gives you and your team mates a nice defense buff, and the other shoots a wave of holy and an atk buff. Both of them can switch your weapon to faith scaling and they are both easy to get early on, if you are wanting a faith build.
OH this is perfect I’ve been wondering how to get this staff, thank you.

I just killed my 2nd major boss and conceptually I think it was one of the creepiest ones in a Dark Souls game. It was also one of the most frustrating until I paid more attention and then it really wasn’t bad at all.
I think I’m going to go back to the start see what I get access to with the swordstone key.
I have found two other ways – equipment based.

There are, of course, also healing spells.
I’m guessing yall have been here, just due to my terribad description of the mini-boss you don’t realize it.
The cave is Groveside Cave and filled with a bunch of wolves in main area and what hte game calls a Beastman in the final cave. I can’t find a great pic of him, but he either has feathers or a feathered cape. Along with a giant ass sword and sort of beast/wolf face (duh). But when I posted I’d only seen him during my fights and he looked like a were-raven or something bird/humanoid like with those feathers. It was kinda chaotic so I forgive myself of a poor description of the feathered ass-kicker, lol
I’m using the latter in my morningstar (for variety). It’s a lot of fun, it fits in with that holy smiting roleplay.
I see so many people talking about flails which is something I don’t think I’ve ever tried in these games. I think I could play this game forever trying out the different builds that are available. This game is just nutty.
Anybody know how the MP works in this one? Are they going to have rotating maps each week like GT Sport? I hope so as it was a great way to focus on a single track and figure out how to race it.
Haha, I just started an STR based alt this morning because I want to try the strength weapons and their gameplay :)
Each week the playlist will feature a new swamp to race in. They’re also planning on new horses for DLC. The competition will be fierce so be sure to upgrade your flasks.
Been thinking about doing this, most of the cool weapons in the game require huge STR, and so I have a character to play with my friends who are just getting the game. I don’t want to roll into their worlds like Superman showing up to help Robin take down a mugger.
Btw I think I discovered the purpose of summoning pools. If you throw yourself into the co-op pool, you can get summoned at any of the beacons in the area. You don’t need to drop a sign in a specific spot.
My son was playing yesterday and was roaming around outside, popped his summon totem, and got summoned to a dungeon nearby to help a player. I was doing an outdoor boss that had a summon totem nearby, so I popped mine to practice with another player, and I got summoned into a mine instead. I believe there is a radius of some kind when you use it. If you’re doing overworld stuff I think you can come up anywhere within that “zone”, or whatever arbitrary lines they drew. If you’re in a dungeon, like a castle, you’ll be summoned only to totems within that dungeon.
I think it’s actually a really good system if that’s how it works, but it’s not explained well (because Souls game).
