Gothic 3 might even be bigger than Oblivion (but more broken).

Masturing his debating skills.

Or an amazing chest that contains DEATH. Fucking mimics.

I immediately thought of the tavern wench from Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance.

I am biding my time with a bunch of XBLA stuff, playing games I downloaded long ago but never tried out. Every fucking XBLA game is at least $10, what is with that? Even stuff like QIX++ and Tiqal. Sorry, my phone has spoiled me, $10 is a lot of money to me now. Bastion and From Dust are big enough to spend $15 on, but for all these others, $10 is excessive.

I was thinking I would play Bastion, but it turns out I never actually bought it, and no budget for it this month what with the Skyrim collector’s edition. So, maybe back to the Wolverine game (the good one, from Raven)… why not?

Seriously HRose, how can you say that with any credibility? Skyrim isn’t even out. At least you could have waited for a week after Skyrim came out so people could have given you the benefit of the doubt (as in, you actually played Skyrim for comparison purposes).

You do want people to take you seriously? You have tried so hard over the years to raise your credibility yet you shoot yourself in the foot with statements like this. A fair critic has to play both games before making a judgment.

In any case, they appear to be very different games. The witcher 2 is a very plot-directed game-play experience where as Skyrim, if it is like any of the any other ES games, is a very open self-directed experience. A classic case of comparing apples and oranges.

What? No. Best Buy has never EVER failed me on a release day purchase. And that’s with Pre Ordering 20 minutes before the store opens in the morning on release day via their web page.

Hell, even Amazon is awesome for release day stuff here in Seattle (if you can wait until 3 or 4 in the afternooon).

Watched the Kotaku video and came away with mixed feelings. Graphics look weak, which is a big negative to this particular graphics whore, and the models are as floaty as in any previous ES game. Voice acting was so-so. The wealth of character creation options was very nice though.

I’m playing it on the 360 - will post some impressions when I can.

If I can still enjoy Betrayal in Krondor’s graphics, I can sure as hell enjoy Skyrim’s.

All this needs is a dragon.

Why does that make me worry that the PC version is going to slip?

That game had the best boob physics ever.

I kinda miss the cliff racers.

Well… at least we have dragons! That should be a suitable replacement.

I’m told by a completely unreliable authority that there will definitely be cliff racers in Skyrim, but all they do is drop poop on your head and screech a lot.

Someone pointed out (and I think they might be close to the right of it) that the lack of PC version to this point is a move to counter early .torrents of the game showing up. I’m not overly worried about the PC version, the console interface actually looks like it would mostly work on a PC just fine, anyway.

No need to worry any more than usual these days. RPS has complained for a while about how hard it is to get PC review code on multiplatform games. Plus, I think Desslock said he put 200-300 hours into the X360 version of Oblivion anyway. Maybe he requested it!

I hope the poop is a potion ingredient. I’m hoping for big stat bonuses.

+3 charisma.

My first CRPG and still a favorite! :D

In every way possible? Hyperbole much?
