Yeah, that’s not DLC for the game. Obviously you’d have to be a mental midget to buy any of it, but it has no impact on the game.
Sounds like the publisher needs a map.
That makes me sad, too. But hey, why should only big corporations take advantage of a globalized world?
I don’t understand how that could be. Do the physical disks keep charging you rent? Do they keep getting into trouble and calling you late at night to bail them out of jail? Does the box have a time dilation effect?
In all seriousness, once its bought, isn’t it going to be redownloadable via Steam once you register it to your account?
Or am I misreading that in it’s entirety and you are talking about cost and speed of day-one delivery?
I’m ashamed to admit I bought an alien head and a halloween premium theme.
If I used XBox live (at all) I might be tempted if the right one came out. I saw a Robocop avatar that look pretty cool recently, for example. But I don’t have a gold account, nor play online (or even play consoles that often) so it’s not for me, but I can see why some folks would get into it.
Still, paying real money seems a little silly.

hah - I just noticed - that thing some of you complained about being spoiled earlier? Its in the original trailer as well :-D
The original trailer? The one with Max von Sydow talking and the camera panning around a bas relief? I’m pretty sure that’s not in there.

Good to know.
Also if you’re not calling in sick, what’s the point in staying up until 12AM to get the game…?
It just so happens that I need a gum graft on one of my canines, and I just happened to schedule it for 8 AM, 11/11/11. So, Skyrim from midnight until Qt3, brief sleep, dental surgery, then Skyrim on pain meds for the rest of the friggin’ day!!! Now I have an EXCUSE to take a sick day, you see.
You’re a wierd guy.

Judging by my friends list on XBL (mostly QT3 people), a lot of people on QT3 are mental midgets.
My point was mostly in general - why go for a midnight release if you have to work in the morning? You’re the one that said you rarely take the day off for a game release.
Also calling in sick is the weenie way out. Take a vacation day, be proud of being a gamer. If there’s any company that’s tolerant of that it’s our employer.
I’m sure no one is surprised to hear that I am one of the mental midgets stusser is denouncing. I bought myself the Ghostbusters costume for my avatar when Sanctum of Slime came out. I did not buy Sanctum of Slime, however.

My apologies, I could perhaps have exercised a bit of empathy. If you want to pay good money for imaginary clothing to play dress-up with computer dolls, who am I to judge? Let he who is without sin throw the first stone, etc.
There’s a limit, though. If you own a realdoll, you can’t come back from that.

My avatar has a light saber.

If my vacation balance weren’t spent right down to the ground I would agree with you. I wrote my original post before realizing that I needed to get this dental surgery anyway, so might as well kill two birds with one stone. If I wind up being able to work after all, I will probably do a half-day of work.
But there would still be a reason to get Skyrim at midnight anyhow even if I had a full workday the next day, namely those delicious first two hours and 45 minutes after midnight – I can handle going to bed at 3 am and getting up at 7 am for work, given sufficient decent black coffee, which our workplace also has in abundance.
