What do vampires have to do with
???

werewolves

?

It’s a feature of the game in which the player’s state is changed through a quest line? It’s analogous to werewolves.

Really, nobody should be surprised by werewolves being in the game given Bethesda’s Blood Moon expansion for Morrowind.

I have to say, the perks for Conjuration sound great. Now that the Mysticism school has been mostly re-homed into Conjuration it’s even better than in Oblivion.

I hope you can turn into a vampire werewolf like Morrowind and then your head turns into a kwama egg.

There’s a good question: can you be both at the same time? Didn’t Daggerfall allow you to be both?

Except they weren’t in Oblivion, and the developer has been mum on the issue most likely to keep it a surprise, and we wouldn’t know anything if it weren’t for early/leaked word-of-mouth. But yeah, you’re right. It’s totally not a spoiler.

Kunikos was the driver in the car of folks who did drive-by’s of bookstores on release night of “The Half-Blood Prince”, shouting “Dumbledore dies!” ;)

Really, nobody should be surprised by Dumbledore dying considering the events of the last book.

Wait, Dumbledore died!? WTF MAN???

‘wtf indeed’

No, it’s cool, just playin’

Yeah, I figure we’re past the statute of limitations on that book when discussing fantasy/magic rpg’s. Pretty hefty crossover of audiences there. ;)

But was he killed by a WEREWOLF???

Saying something is analogous is harder than just admitting you got them mixed up and said the wrong word.

What kind of retarded logic is this? They weren’t in the base Morrowind game, and they weren’t in Oblivion. Why should anyone have assumed they would be in Skyrim?

EDIT: And why are you acting like what other people consider spoilers for a game that isn’t even out yet is up to you?

Actually, considering their invitation was custom art of them fighting a zombie horde in wedding apparel with the caption “LEFT 4 WED,” I’m surprised they aren’t going to have kiosks set up in the dining hall.

The Bloodmoon expansion took place on the Nord island of Solstheim.

Uh-huh, and Bruma was a hike through a mountain pass away from Skyrim, there were no werewolves there. As far as I could tell the only reason there were werewolves at all was because of some shit Hircine pulled in Bloodmoon, doesn’t mean there are always werewolves around.

Bottom line is Bethesda didn’t mention it for a reason and people have a right to be annoyed that it got spoiled even though there were definite hints. I just dislike the “well it was obvious to me so you can’t call it spoilers” attitude.

I vote that the rest of this thread be dedicated to bitching about spoilers, so everybody will be ready to switch to the “Skyrim No-spoilers Thread” and the “Skyrim Spoiling Thread” when it releases. Who’s with me?

Fuck you, spoilers. Fuck you right in the ear.

The real question is…

There, wolf! There, castle!

What? No. I purposefully was using vampires as an example of how they officially outed a gameplay feature ahead of release that was tied to quest play in which the character contracts a supernatural disease. It’s exactly analogous in terms of how it is involved in the game.

What kind of retarded logic is this? They weren’t in the base Morrowind game, and they weren’t in Oblivion. Why should anyone have assumed they would be in Skyrim?

I didn’t say you could assume, I said you shouldn’t be surprised. If they had never had werewolves in any game in the Bethesda series, the surprise level would be higher. I’m not spoiling some dragon-transformation at the end character levels of Skyrim
cross game spoiler!

(although, now that I think about it, that would be pretty similar to Bioshock)

EDIT: And why are you acting like what other people consider spoilers for a game that isn’t even out yet is up to you?

Because I don’t think it’s a big deal. (And I don’t think people should have to have quests spoiled just to know if they are in the game or not. Lesser of two spoilers, I guess.)

Look, if you don’t want to get anything spoiled on a game like Skyrim, you shouldn’t be looking at anything Skyrim related at all. The walkthrough videos alone spoil tons of things, screenshots of various things, etc. Internet black-out is the only way to be sure.
