What?!?! Ear sex is in Skyrim? Awesome, I thought I was going to have to wait for a mod for this.

Oh god. Just saw a 3 hour video with a level 7 character. Watched the first half hour and skipped around the last part. By god it looks like Bethesda might be improving. Saw a quest you could actually (GASP) fail, and multiple monsters that were able to absolutely destroy the player instead of being level-scaled to shit.

Figured even if this was Oblivion levels of suckitude I’d still have a good time with mods, but that video looked damn good for a Bethesda RPG.

Who cares what my post count is? It doesn’t even include my old account’s post count…

Yeah, well my alt is 50th level. ;-)

I was joking, don’t get so defensive.

They’re a good thing I think. Before you shipped and that was it, now you ship but can still run testing for another few weeks and everyone benefits.

I suppose it depends on whether it’s a patch or a content completion release. Depends on the publisher and developer I guess.

I never understood the day 1 patch hate. Software has bugs, it’s just the way things happen. Until humanity perfects itself, it’s creations will be imperfect.

I’d obviously rather a game not need patching, tweeking, or additional content/updates post release, but since that’s not realistic, I’d rather a game get that stuff on day one (based on crtical reviews, etc.) than not (or on week 6).

Day1 DLC pisses me off. I’m fine with day1 patches.

Yeah, day1 DLC is an insult. Day1, 2, 3 or whatever patches are always welcome, as long as a developer is improving a game bring on the patches.

That is why I am waiting for GOTY edition. :p

You better be able to pick hairstyles like that in the character creator.

I posted this in the Giant Bomb thread, but…

Thursday, 8am Pacific, Greg Kasavin is going to play Skyrim for 12 hours straight. Those of you who laugh in the face of spoilers might be interested.

Uhh, ok. They do realize that the game will unlock by most accounts at 9PM Pacific, right? Seems like a rather pointless offer on their part, unless they are targetting desperate Skyrim fans who aren’t buying the game.

My mistake. 8 AM pacific.

Ok, that makes more sense. Not that I’m going to be watching. Why spoil the hell out of the game right before I buy it? ;-)

Which version is he playing?

BTW, am I the only one who hears the word Dovakhin (sp?) and thinks of the guys chasing this kitten?

God I love that image. That was the first time I saw those little brown guys. Good times!

(and please, think of the kittens)

That kitten in the lower left corner was my Qt3 avatar for the few hours they were enabled here. I miss my kitty.

I have nothing on-topic to add except that I look forward to playing Skyrim a year from now, having learned my lesson twice with Morrowind and Oblivion.

Like me. sadface
