Yup. I turned off the ambient subtitles for exactly that reason.

Plural nouns don’t get apostrophes, barbarian heathen.

So far I’ve been stable with some texture mods and ugrids = 7, so fingers crossed.

Blastit! Gunned down by a grammatical error! Why can’t you make your damn language more intuitive?!

Not a problem. Move closer to the speaker whose subtitles you want to see.

Tim, you can’t move while in a conversation. At least I couldn’t whenever I tried.

I don’t remember any open conversations (when ambient subtitles could overwrite the ones you wanted) where I was stuck in place. Maybe I’ve forgotten them. I haven’t talked to anyone in a crowd in a while!

That’s really weird. I did try moving in conversations multiple times, and it never seemed to work.

Its more when people zoom past me, like those damn kids wanting to play for instance. Oh well, its not like its a very big issue, to be honest, just a bit annoying the few times it has happened, since I’m trained from when I was a baby to read the subtitles, making it confusing.

You can’t move in closed one-on-one conversations, but those don’t get overwritten by ambient subtitles unless I’m completely remembering this wrong.

Anyone else notice “absorb stamina” being slightly overpowered, especially for a dual wielder?

I’m assuming a power attack that uses 1 stamina does the same damage as a power attack that uses 30 stamina… which means that you can’t actually run out of stamina when you attack with a weapon that absorbs stamina, letting you spam power attacks all day long.

Christ, the stupid fucking oversights in this game just add up the more you play it.

My understanding it that using a power attack at low stamina actually puts you in a stamina debt. So you’ll need to bring your stamina up above zero again in order to power attack again. How far under you go, and how much you absorb will make a difference I’m sure.

In my experience stamina absorbing weapons haven’t really been a big deal, but I never imbued them to absorb more than 6 or 7 at a time because of my lack of full soul gems on that particular character.

You can use power attack that only uses 1 stamina?

Still, if you are using an “absorb stamina” magical effect weapon, you aren’t using a fire weapon (+damage+extra dot) or an ice weapon (+damage+paralysis effect chance+damages stamina) or a shock weapon (+damage+damages mana) or even an “absorb health” weapon.

Unless you have the perk for dual-enchants~

Hrm, it seems you may be right. Looks like there’s a discrepancy on the dual wield attacks too, depending on which hand has the stamina absorb weapon.

Weird. Though with one handed power attacks (with the 25% perk), I can power attack constantly with an absorb weapon.

And yes, you can use a power attack without having the full stamina. I think that’s obvious to most people using power attacks with weapons. As soon as you have any stamina at all, just power attack again.

Well after the last patch I had no vertical mouse movement and after this patch I still have no vertical mouse movement. The game was running so well up till then too.

Have you been tweaking your .ini files?

Today I completed a fairly lengthy quest and acquired what appeared to be a very powerfull item - the White Phial. But it doesn’t quite work the way you would think . . .

how the White Phial works

Once you complete the quest, you are allowed to choose what kind of potion the self-filling White Phial will give you. There are many options, but the idea is that you get an endless potion, right? Thats how the lore up to that point makes the item seem. But it turns out that when you use it, it disappears from your inventory. And later it will reappear full again, but that time gap is rather long. So its not going to replace your regular potions and has a somewhat limited value.

Not at all actually.

Some of the dungeons in this game are so fucking impressive. Sightless Pit? Holy shit.
