Isn’t fishing @lordkosc 's jam?

It is on occasion, Red Dead 2 was probably my game with the most fishing time, prolly half my play time. I just like to be over enthusiastic about fishing in any game. Just for funsies. ;)

I never got around to installing the HD remastered version of Skyrim, so if fishing is added, its an incentive imho to do so!

Well, hell. Guess I’m waiting until November before resuming my game.

I did just snag the Fallout 4 season pass for 5 bucks, so I guess I can mess around in that world for awhile…

Savory Deviate Delight or GTFO

Would have been awesome if they created a new expansion or added a new set of skills or some major gameplay enhancements. But Free Upgrade, so I really shouldn’t complain. Damn. Where did those 10 years go?

It’s not free, read the bottom paragraph again.

I guess it’s free if you just want the three things. What are the rest of the things? Very not straightforward.

Those are the Creation Club “mods”. Not really essential, in my opinion.

Was just about to post about Skyrim (SE). I wanted to strongly recommend the Serenity 2 auto-mod list from Wabbajack. Its the best version of Skyrim I have ever played, and may be the best video game I have ever played.

Wabbajack takes a few clicks to install. Then it downloads a bunch of stuff (64 GB), and then auto-installs it all. You can launch it all directly from Mod Organizer, no other config needed. (You can mess with the ENB if you want, I prefer Cathedralist’s ENB 2020.)

Boom, 900 mods installed just like that.

Note this is a Requiem-based modlist, so the world is unleveled, you need to take perks in skills for them to be effective, and you need to go slow and be careful. Its perfect for me, I understand why they call it a “role-playing enhancement” since this is the first time I have taken the time to slow down, smell the roses, and get into my character(s).

Happy to answer any questions. I finally jumped into these auto-mod lists last year and its been such a positive experience. I can skip the hours and hours and days of modding and just jump right into the goodness.

Nope. Not a single one is essential. Seriously. Most of them are garbage. I have no clue who would pay for any of these through the Creation Club store since they’re pretty expensive to boot.

Depending on the price of the Anniversary upgrade, sure, maybe.

That looks really neat, gonna have to try it.

All this only a week after I grabbed the Xbox version for my series S. I enjoy the mods and will probably try this Wabbajack magic at some point after November. Haha! I’ll redownload it to my desktop and install it within days. FOMO baby. FOMO

Honestly i could get into Skyrim again if i didn’t feel the need to open every drawer and rustle through every barrel.

In my recent playthru I hit Greymoor castle and proceed to damn near one hit kill my way thru almost the entire thing. I’m thinking that maybe I need to futz with the settings to make it harder. Then I realize I have no idea if you can even do this in SR. Understand that Greymoor just outside Whiterun is about 90% as far as I’ve ever been in this game. So I have no idea, but I don’t recall cheesing my way thru this place like this in any of my 20 some-odd previous attempts. Then I run into some dude that just destroys me. Not a giant or anyone with some obvious boss-type abilities. Just another bandit and ‘boom’ I’m toast. So yeah, it’s got me interested again.

Anyone have experience with the Skyland all-in-one mod for XSX?

Haven’t seen it on XSX, but it’s a solid collection of visual upgrades on PC

Yeah, just wondering if it will impact performance or not. I’ll mess around tomorrow and report back.

Me too. And I’m stuck with an Xbox controller now as my wrecked elbow can’t handle clutching a mouse for hours at time :(

Or maybe the game is good with a controller?

Skyrim is great with a controller. Much better than on mouse and keyboard. You use left trigger to pull up your shield, right trigger to swing your weapon. There’s tactical feedback on the melee combat too, through vibration, which isn’t there with mouse and keyboard. It’s just a better experience.
